I think the seafood was better several years ago, but since then they added a lot of non-seafood items they never used to have. As several have mentioned, this indeed makes it more family-friendly and kid-friendly, (my wife used to hate it and now she loves it, because she's not a big seafood eater). However I think they don't focus as much now on the seafood and the quality has suffered somewhat.

They used to have these big metal buckets for the clams and mussels, but last December they were gone, replaced with plain bowls. Just another cost-cutting measure I guess.

And I agree with those who say many of the clam shells are empty. I found that if you scoop from the bottom of the pan you get a lot of clams with no shells!

I was doing this the first time I went and some jerk beside me in line told me I wasn't supposed to do that.LOL I just looked at him and went in for a second deep scoop!

That is funny! He probably knew the secret and didn't want you to take all the shellless ones! (wow, three L's in a row, is shellless a real word?)
