I have been making our touring plans so I can schedule our FP's, and I may need to drop Breakfast on HS day, it's early entry 8 am and we have Cape May for 7:30. We have the Trattoria breakfast scheduled 2 days later, do I keep that or try to move Cape May to that day? We are staying at the BCV so easier for Cape. We have 3 kids, one whom loves the Fab 5 over Princess. Which is better food though? I have heard mixed reviews about Cape food, but that it has better characters for littles. What to do?

I would drop Cape May and just get to HS early.

I need more details about the other day to say what I would do. I have done Cape May dinner and the Bon Voyage Breakfast. I think Trattoria has better food.

The other morning is 745 Trattoria going to Epcot with normal opening time. So gonna try for FP TT or Soarin, which I should get no problem. We have DDP so I was thinking if I drop Cape we can go to the Lunchbox before we get in line for the Alien Saucers. Of course that's hoping that I can get a FP for SDD. If I can't then we would rope drop that and get food just after.

Also, is the Trattoria just a table service as opposed to a buffet? It does sound like better food for sure. Not wanting to do Cape dinner because I am not a big seafood person, especially buffet style, blech.

Trattoria is a great meal. We enjoyed it so much. It is not a buffet. The first course is family style danish/muffins. They bring more if you want. Then you choose the rest. The food was so delicious. I would definitely cancel Cape May.
Enjoy!

I've done both and actually have both booked for my upcoming trip. I think the food at both is great. Cape May has these awesome chorizo scrambled eggs. I say book based on which characters you want to see more.
