Help! We're planning an October trip and I'm struggling with breakfast ADRs for an Epcot day. We're doing the DxDP (love it!) and have boy/girl twins that will be 6. Right now I have 7:40 ADRs at Chef Mickey's (we get up early, sigh, even if Mom and Dad don't want to). We're staying at the WL and I like the idea of the boat to CR and then breakfast at Chef Mickey's (we haven't been there before - it just never fit in the schedule) and then the monorail to Epcot. I don't care so much about making rope drop (gasp!) at Epcot even though I swear by it everywhere else, because as long as I have FPs for Soarin' for sometime during the day, we're fine.

But...

We kind of hate mayhem and chaos and starting the day that way may make us crazy (and not able to wait until 11 AM when DH and I are happily standing outside of Mexico for a lovely margarita). Our one trip to Akershus had DH swear he'd never go again (screaming and crying kids - not ours:scared: made for an unbelievably loud and stressful lunch. I'm scared I'm setting him up with the same thing with Chef Mickey's.

So I was thinking maybe we'd do Cape May, sounds much more relaxing but also gives us a fun breakfast and we could walk through the IG and head up to FW in Epcot (am I right?). Although getting there from WL poses a bit of a challenge while the CR is relatively easy.

Thoughts? (and sorry that I write so much!) Also happily open to other suggestions...

Cape May is our fav place to dine. It is very relaxed and the atmosphere is fantastic. Not to mention that the food and service are excellent.

ChefM's on the other hand while it is fun it's very loud and the food is just OK. Sounds to me from your experience at Aker that you wouldn't like ChefM's.

Yes, you can walk to Epcot from the BC. There is also a boat to the IG.

We ate breakfast at both our last trip. We wanted to do CM because we had never eaten there, and we were staying at BCV, so Cape May Cafe was natural.

I felt that CM was too crazy, the characters don't get too spend to much time with you purely because of the size of the place. Don't get me wrong, we had some good interaction.

But at Cape May, the characters really spent time with us. DD4 complimented Minnie's shoes and they ended up having a little dance party. And we felt the food was much better at Cape May. Maybe just because it was more relaxed.
