Cape May on F! night?

Okay...trying to figure this out. I hate not having a "plan."

F! is at 9:00 on the night we're there. We have the F! Dinner Package that afternoon at 1:30 at MM. We thought we'd leave the park after that, and then return in time for F!.

Trying to figure out dinner and whether I want to just do a CS or whether we want to do, maybe, Cape May. My thought is that - since it's a buffet - it ought to be fairly quick.

If I scheduled a 6:45 ADR, do you think we'd be out in time to get to HS by 8:00 by boat? I think we could probably do it if we walked, but I just don't know if we're going to be up for walking that much more in the heat of June.

Thoughts? What do people generally do for dinner before F!?

IMHO that would be cutting it pretty close. We usually allow at least an hour for sit down meals -- between checking in, getting seated and eating. The boat ride from the Beach Club to DHS takes at least 15-20 minutes. I am not 100% sure but I think it picks up on the YC/BC side then goes across to the Boardwalk side then goes over to the Swan/Dolphin dock.

During busier times of year you really need to line up for Fantasmic at least an hour to an hour and a half before the show -- the theatre often fills to capacity. They typically add some 10:30 shows in June which are much easier to get in to. If the 10:30 show isn't an option then we would probably just grab some CS at one the spots across from the theatre.

I had a very similar question. We have the same ADR time at MM for lunch. I finally changed the ADR for our dinner to 5:35 - it is at Kouzzina - so a non-buffet meal, and likely to take a little longer. It is earlier than I wanted to eat but I figure I'll just eat lighter fare for lunch at MM. Originally was hoping to do a 6:30ADR but decided it was cutting it too close. Silly us - we'll be attempting to see Fantasmic on a Star Wars Weekend :rotfl2: - unfortunately, that was the easiest time to fit it in. We'll be coming back to DHS another day to actually ride the rides as I'm assuming it will be packed.

We have been going to WDW during June since 2002 and, as far as I can remember, they have always added a second Fantasmic on each night it is scheduled - you may want to keep that open as an option; Fantasmic on a SWW is going to be really crowded :crowded: Good luck:thumbsup2

In our case, we'll be doing the Fantasmic package and that's only available for the first show.

I don't think that is enough time.
You need to consider time waiting for the boat going back to HS, and hoping you get seated at exactly 6:45 at Cape May.

Personally, I think this would work just fine. In my experience, it can be much faster to walk from the BC to DHS. Even if you are getting in the front gates of DHS around 8:20, you should have no problem making the 9:00 Fantasmic.

You could also arrive at your ADR a little early.
