did you guys like it?

it's not a character dinner is it? i think the breakfast is but not sure if the dinner is.

or spoodles? which would you choose

We eat at Cape May cafe for dinner every trip!! It is definately a fav of ours. We have only done the breakfast once, yes the breakfast has characters dinner does not. Food is yummy!!

Dinner at Cape May is supposed to be a clam bake, but from what I've heard if you are from New England, you might be disappointed as while close it's not quite the same as you get in a restaurant up here, which is why we're not doing it. Some of the clams are flavored (I believe I saw garlic) which is not part of a traditional New England clam bake. I believe they have other seafood as well as some "turf" items.

We've been to dinner there twice and plan to go back in June. Most of our family does not like seafood, and we still like this restaurant. We've already had great service. It's certainly not gourmet, but as buffets go, this and Crystal Palace are the best ones we've been to.

I loved Cape May. There were 3 different types of clams - coming from a small town on the ocean I had only had 1 type prior to this experience...was great. There were many "turf" items for those who don't like seafood as well...mmmm Can't wait for this meal on my trip in August :)

This is definately one of our favorite places to eat on just about every trip. We love it.

We went to Cape May for dinner in May 08 on our 1st night LOVED it so much went back another night!!!! It is great... no characters but a great Calm Bake!!! Lots of optitions and great deseart areas....

We are planning our 2010 trip and Cape May will again be our 1st night dinner!!!

We LOVE Cape May dinner.....we eat there atleast once every trip :goodvibes. We're not seafood eaters so I can't comment on that.......but the rest of the buffet is great with plenty of variety :). And as others have said characters are at breakfast only ;).

We LOVE Cape May for dinner...click on my Oct link to see a ton of buffet pics and a full review

took the plundge and booked cape may.

i don't eat fish but i figure dh should get to pick 1 restaurant LOL

Does anyone know how difficult it is to get in here without ADR? We're going to be there this weekend, and I'm going to try to convince the family to go. Thanks.

Honestly the Cape Mat buffet is one of the poorer meals at Disney. sea food and buffet our 2 things that should not go together. Save your money and go to Spoodles you will have a much better meal. If money isn't a big deal walk a couple of doors down to Flying Fish one of the best restaurants at Disney.

The Cape may breakfast is good.

I liked it but I'd put it lower on my list compared to all the other table services I've had. The food was fine but to me it was just regular picnic food we get in the Northeast. My wife really like it though so YMMV.

If their breakfast buffet is any indication as to how their dinner buffet is, then I pass. I found the breakfast buffet to be along the quality of a Denny's or Eat N Park buffet would be. The only difference is that Cape May's cost 4 times as much.

But then perhaps the dinner is much better. I'll never find out. :confused3

The non-seafood choices weren't bad, but the clam bake was definitely a disappointment to my family, who had been really looking forward to it (I'm not a big fan of seafood, so can't comment personally). In talking with others, the general consensus we've come to is that if you are from New England, it is not going to be what you expect. We enjoyed the breakfast much more than the dinner - didn't think it was like Denny's at all.

it can be ver y difficult without an Adr.it is close to Epcot so lots of people like to walk over for dinner. In Sept during free dining we ate there once and loved it( we had an adr).We tried to get another adr or walkup later in the week and they were booked solid.

Don't get me wrong some of the things were not bad. However, an omlet station would have been nice instead of a big pan of folded over eggs with sausage and cheese in the middle and calling it an omlet would have been nice. Maybe we missed it but I didn't see where we could have an omlet made differently. A carving station with Ham or something also would have been nice. The sausages were good though. But again for $60 for three people there should be a little more than Minnie and Goofy stopping by at the table. I know it's Disney but it just didn't do it for us. But hey, everyone has different opinions when it come to restaurants. ;)
