Trying to get a breakfast Adr for Oct 4 weekend is hard. I really wanted Ohana or Trattoria al Furno but nothing. Cape May came up and since we are at the YC I booked it. Any recent reviews?

Not very recent but we did breakfast at Cape May about 5 years ago and thought it was great. The food wasn't anything outstanding but very good breakfast fare and the characters beach outfits were a lot of fun.

Since you are staying at YC it would be super convenient as well.

Haven't been there in years because I'm not interested in character dining but when did go, it was our favorite breakfast buffet.

We love Cape May Cafe for breakfast. Our favorite breakfast, however, is Garden Grill. If you aren’t sure about CMC, check and see if GG has any openings. We love to eat there when staying at YC/BC because we can walk there and not have to worry about taking a bus in the morning, plus the food and character interaction are both great!

I think you will be pleasantly surprised and, since it's right at BC, it's so convenient for you! I think it's far superior to O'hana!

Agree! Cape May is a great breakfast. They have the usual buffet items but also a lot of unique ones. The characters are in such cute outfits, too!

We ate at ‘Ohana last month after taking a break for a few years. Such a disappointment. Out of 6 character meals the food was the worst here and service was pretty mediocre.

We’ve done that breakfast many times, probably once per year each of the last 8 years or so. It’s a favorite of ours for good character interaction and decent food. There’s plenty of smoked salmon available, so I get my money’s worth every time. Other good character breakfasts for us include 1900 Park Fare, Tusker House, and Trattoria al Forno.

We went in March (mostly because we were staying at Beach Club) and it was so delicious!! We are planning on doing it again for 2019

I booked it on a whim because we’re staying at Beach Club and now I’m really excited I did!

We love Cape May for breakfast! The character interaction there is great and so is the food. The veggie scramble with feta is my favorite.

We did it in June 2017 and really enjoyed both the food and the characters. Since then, I believe Daisy has been added to the character lineup and Donald has a new outfit.

Perhaps my opinion of "great" food is somewhat snobby I guess. For me, there is no such thing as buffet food made for the masses and sitting out on serving stations being called great. But I admit that is just me. I would rate Cape May as average at best and below in many other areas (Which is much better than CM). A fresh omelet station would have been nice the last time I was there. But the real standout at Cape May for me is the characters and the interaction with them. It is excellent. I just wish the food at Cape May along with the character experience would be as good as it is at Tusker House (one of the few buffets I rate as good).

Now with where you are at though, it is very convenient and worth going for yourself and not paying attention to this food snob. :rotfl2:

I tried it in January on a whim since I was staying at Boardwalk. I'm so glad that I did. The buffet had a good variety and the characters were awesome!

this is good news!! i booked it for December, so all the good reviews definitely solidifies my choice!!

Cape May is very good, and staying at YC makes it even better.

It's your typical breakfast food with a few unique offerings. One year they had a Chorizo-Cheddar scrambled eggs; last year they had a spinach and feta scrambled eggs that was phenomenal. They also have a waffle station with bananas, chocolate chips, etc.

I'm a fan. You can't go wrong with breakfast anywhere in Disney, but Cape May just does it really well.

Have you ever tried Chef Mickey? :rotfl2::rotfl::laughing:
