Is it good? Is it worth the price? Is it worth the price with the gouge, I mean surcharge?

Totally depends on how you eat. For my DH it is worth every penny. Even with a surcharge. For me it is never 'worth it'. I don't eat seafood and what I do eat, I can't eat a lot. Still I do enjoy this buffet. Like the theme. Even tho I prob could be getting more for my $$ someplace else for what I eat.

It would be my husband, aunt, me, and my 2 kids. All the adults love seafood and if I have to suffer through Mickey's Backyard BBQ my two girls can suffer through one seafood meal for me!

My DH LOVES seafood. This is one of his top 3 picks. My DD(12) & DS(10) only eat the crab legs for the seafood part, but they find plenty of other things to eat. Myself, don't like seafood. I like the place, but wouldn't care if I never went back. But if your a seafood lover, go for it.

I was just looking at the Cape May Cafe dinner buffet and I think it looks really good! Of course, unlimited crab legs makes me feel like I've died and gone to heaven

Not sure if DH will agree to it for our November trip (he doesn't love seafood even remotely as much as I do), but it is worth a shot!

I haven't ever eaten there when there was a surcharge. What is this "surcharge" you speak of?

Just so you know, it is not only a seafood buffet. They have non-seafood selections as well. When we went, everything was very flavorful and the desserts were VERY good. Oreo Bob Bons.... nuff said .

ON the DP it is a no brainer to me TOTALLLLLLLLLLLLY worth every drop.

Not on the DP it is a stretch but still would do it.

If you are staying on DVC with points, you can get the DDP for 1 day and the price will sting much less!

I did it without the dining plan in November with the holiday pricing and everything. It's expensive for a buffet, but it's a Disney buffet so.....there ya go. Thinking about it THAT way, it's definitely worth it! Everything I had there was delicious, and they even had a sugar free dessert that I would get over some of their other desserts. Maybe not the oreo bon bons, but it's close.

I enjoyed everything on the buffet from crab legs to the mac and cheese to the ribs. Yum! It was my one 'must do' ADR for our July trip.

We aren't going to be on the DP this go around. We sat down and did the math and examined our eating habits from our last 2 trips and it really was way more money than we'd spend OOP. In the 2 weeks we'll be there we're only going to be eating 5-6 TS meals, we are not going to the parks every day, staying in the cabins with a full kitchen, And we're really snackers during the day anyway so it just didn't make sense. It seemed a little pricey to do without the DP, but if the food is good then I'm willing to pay for it.

I really love this place, and never had a crab leg in my life (watching my DD try to eat one alone was worth it!...think attacking seafood in Beetlejuice!)

That said, they have ribs and chicken and salads and, ironically, the best chicken "nuggets" (just bite size breast) ever, so your kids will not suffer....And the desserts are really lovely as well!

During the busier times like holidays they add a few bucks to the price of these meals. Just because they can!!

We're trying it on the DP in Sept. My dad loves seafood and even though we have a few non-lovers and in between I think it will do well for us. My mom is not a fish lover but we scheduled it for a Wed night and she loves fried shrimp so it should be great!

This was actually our least favorite meal of our trip...... we ate there on Tuesday. The crab legs were overdone. My favorite part was the salads and the desserts..... the desserts were really good. Not worth the cost, IMO. I had been really looking forward to this buffet too......
