We are booked for dinner at Cape May and while looking at a few reviews I get the impression that there are not many options for someone who does not fancy seafood. Can anyone let me know what non-seafood options are available?

TIA

When we were there last month I mainly ate non-seafood options. There was carved beef, BBQ ribs, chicken, baked beans, macaroni and cheese and kids pepperoni pizza, a large salad bar with fresh fruit and premade salads in addition to greens and the usual choices. There was also macaroni salad and mashed potatoes and there is a non-seafood soup choice each day. The evening we were there it was Tomato Basil.

Plus all the desserts. ;)

Hope this helps some. :)

I don't eat any seafood. We ate there in January. I can tell you that I did NOT leave feeling hungry! ;)

My sister absolutely hates all seafood. She loves Cape May and there are plenty of items to pick from. It's a must every trip!

Plenty of choices for non seafood eaters. I know if I'm not in the mood for crab legs, etc. I will still enjoy Cape May. One of our favorites!

Cape May clambake is one of my favs and I don't eat seafood. Steak, chicken, corn bread, salads, mac n cheese (not the typical disney style) are great!! And the oreo bon bons...Yum :thumbsup2

No one in my family eats seafood, yet this is a favorite meal for us. LOVE the ribs, mac & cheese, corn on cob, salads, rolls, pasta... hmm oh, the kids' chicken nuggets, mashed potatos. Sure there is more we eat.. but yeah, we enjoy it! You will be fine!

Oreo bon bons!! Sounds yummy! What other desserts do they have? We are going Aug 3rd! I am a huge seafood eater, mom likes it, and my son can only have seafood and lamb (no other meats due to allergies) so that is why we choose Cape May. Mom loves friend shrimp, and one thing we read said they only have it on Wednesdays.

So looking forward to dining at Cape May this up coming trip! :yay: Hear so much about Oreo bon bons .. will probably eat one before I get to the real food!

We love Cape May Clambake.....it's a must do for us every trip :). As others have said, it is not just seafood as there are A LOT of other things on the buffet :thumbsup2. Cape May is one of our favorite places to eat at Disney :goodvibes.

I don't know if it was just the evening we went or not, but I'm just adding my experience here, as I have a husband and two kids who do not like seafood, but we all went to dinner at Cape May...

The ribs were a nice option. My kids and hubby ate quite a few chicken nuggets and various breads. The steak or roast or whatever it was, along with some of the other non-seafood items were a bit peppery tasting - I distinctly remember several dishes tasting this way, and we are not into very peppery things, so I fear we won't be back as a family for dinner. (Though I might go back since I like some of the seafood here...)

The good news is that if you don't like much of the dinner foods, there are several desserts that are delicious! And you would have saved plenty of room for them! Freshly prepared individual chocolate lava cakes and Oreo bon bons - yum! I personally liked the flan they had too... and mini cheesecake pieces - I think it was raspberry flavored then. My only problem was I didn't have enough room for all the desserts.

Our family agrees, however, that the breakfast is fabulous here! Fresh, enjoyable with characters, yet not as crowded as other character meals.

My DH and one of my DD's will not touch seafood but they always find plenty to eat @ Cape May :)

They have the typical buffet desserts. Plus:

From the front left working clockwise - a brownie bite, a strawberry cheesecake bite, Oreos and a sugar cookie.

My son learned he loved Flan - above, because it was the only dessert he could have with his allergies.

Hope this helps some. :)

My trip report of our meal at Cape May is hereif you are interested.

I can't remember exactly what all I ate at Cape May, but I do know that it was one of my favorite buffets, we want to book it for our next trip, and I am allergic to shellfish! I thought it was great, and my seafood loving family loved it.

Just stopping by to agree! I won't touch seafood (tried it several times and different kinds, just never cared for it) and ate plenty at Cape May! I liked it being a seafood place for no other reason than the giant kettle of drawn butter, and I used it to dip my boiled potatoes and roll in :lmao: Such a glutton I know. I also agree that if you don't feel full after dinner, you will after dessert. There's some pics and a review in my trip report, link at the bottom of my sig and it's the first or second review.

There are tons of non seafood options...click on my Nov 10 thread, I have pics of all the food items offered

I love the ribs and roasted chicken, the mac and cheese is the best I have had at WDW. Great salad bar and salad type side dishes. You cannot go wrong here.

I'm so glad you asked this question! I have an ADR at Cape Mae for our upcoming trip in Sept and was starting to have doubts... My hubs doesn't eat seafood at all, I don't care for shellfish, my eldest son is a vegetarian, and my youngest son won't eat anything off of a bone. And I was starting to think I made a horrible mistake...

But with all the positive reviews I feel much better now. :thumbsup2

It's funny-I'm not a huge fan of oreos but these were so good.:goodvibes I thought their dessert bar was the best at all the buffets I've been in WDW. Variety of cookies and brownies even peanut butter blondies. Key lime tarts, cheesecake, and mini vanilla cupcakes and mini-choc lava cakes-I heard people say their not serving the lava cakes anymore though :confused3

My son loves tortellini but was dissappointed that it had seafood on it and our server brought a huge bowl of plain tortellini with butter on it. :goodvibes

Just adding my 2 cents. I love seafood. However, my DH doesn't care for it except for clams (go figure). He enjoys this buffet very much especially the chicken, ribs and a beef stroganoff-type dish they sometimes have...as well as the carving station. He eats more than I do when we go!!
