BC is our favorite resort and Cape May is great! The dessert station at dinner is the best and the clam chowder is pretty darn tasty! We also enjoy the character breakfast there. Give it a try......I bet you'll enjoy it.
my family does not eat seafood but we love cape may cafe, even without
eating seafood there is plenty to choose from and we usually have someone
along with us who does like seafood and they always rave about it. we
have also done the breakfast and enjoyed that as well. (we didn't have a good waiter, but the food and characters was still good.) have a magical time
Even if you don't care for seafood??? My whole family won't eat it but wanted to try it for dinner since we are staying at the BC it would be convinient.
We loved it, and DH is not a big seafood eater.
We were really surprised by how good the food was for a buffet. Also the place is very laid back, and has a fun atmosphere. Don't go too late though or all the deserts will be finished!
This is one of our favorite Must-Do restaurants every trip. I love the food here & I don't even eat any of the seafood. The dessert bar is always delicious!
We took my parents to dinner here & several other restaurants last January & this was the favorite meal by all.
Okay, I absolutely hate seafood, the smell, looks and taste of it. But went here for my husband who likes seafood. Once I got over the smell of it, I really enjoyed it. There really is enough on the buffet that is non seafood to please anyone.
Cape May used to be my favorite restaurant on the whole property, but when we were there for Christmas Eve last month, I was VERY disappointed.
We were seated right when the place opened, but then so were what seemed like hundreds of other people. I was able to get a salad plate and a hot plate of food, but was not able to get back to the buffet again due to the horrible crowds. The line was wrapped all the way through the restaurant! I sent my DH back to try to get me a bowl of clam chowder, and no one would let him "cut in line" to pour some in a bowl, even though they were all standing there waiting on the seafood line (with the mussels, clams, etc.)
The clams and mussels were worse than they've ever been: the clams were TINY-- about the size of a dime. And the mussels were mostly just empty shells.
I think I would try Cape May again on a less crowded day, but let me tell you it was HORRIBLE with so many people. The buffet is just not set up to handle those kinds of crowds.
