So my DF and I are getting married in December at Disney, and we have been debating where to host of rehearsal dinner for about 40 people. Our rehearsal is at Seabreeze Point (gazebo between Boardwalk and IG) so we thought that Cape May would be a good location. We were originally debating having it at the bar area at Narcoossee's but after updating our number of guests, we realize that is not going to be possible. Pretty much everyone that will be there loves seafood, so I thought that would work out well. I just dont want those who have travelled so far to our wedding, to think it was just so-so. Any thoughts, opinions?

Haven't eaten there....yet, but I just wanted to say that we are having our rehearsal dinner there in October. We will be at WDW in a month and have an ADR there so we can try it out. We chose Cape May because our rehearsal is in Epcot and a lot of the wedding party is staying at the BWV so the location is convenient for us.

Pros - Buffet setup will allow guests to tailor to their own choices and determine own pacing. Food good (for Disney) - see cons.

Cons - If any of your people are expecting New England quality type "clambake", not so much. But as with many of the WDW restaurants it is a reasonable fascimile of an authentic food experience and not a bad one to boot.

Overall, one of the more varied, good quality buffets.

Cape May is OK but the food is nothing beyond mediocre. The restaurant itself is very nicely themed and the BC is stunning. Is it really about the food or spending time together?

If you want to stay in the same area as your rehearsal your options are limited unless you want to go to Epcot.

What about Flying Fish on the Boardwalk?

We thought Cape May was OK nothing special. I don't think I would want my rehearsal dinner there. What about Spoodles or flying Fish on the boardwalk?

Cape May is an excellent choice. Since it's a buffet, people will be able to get up and roam around and talk to each other if they choose.

The food is good (and they removed all the fried items so it's not that fattening) - not a "true" Clam Bake" as mentioned but if that is what people want, they should probably go to New England.

But you really shouldn't be that worried about it. These people are there for your wedding!!! It would be horribly rude for someone to get upset over a rehearsal dinner (and I'm assuming one that they aren't paying for). This is YOUR time and your friend's time. Do what the two of you want.

I would check out Flying Fish, we personally had the worst seafood we've ever eaten at Cape May.
