Cape May clambake-not booking?

Today was our 180 day +10 and I called to make our ressies, I got most if them for close to the Times we wanted however my DH really wanted to go to the clambake and the CM told me there are no bookings for that. Not that it's booked but that they aren't booking, he wasn't sure what that meant and said to just keep checking. Any ideas? I have left that day open for now but perhaps should come up with a back up in case they are closing or something?

WE had this same problem this past week on booking and there were very few days open but I do know they were showing limited availability the days following after the 4th of July

Hi, yesterday was our 180 day as well....I called exactly at 7 am (couldn`t do my adr`s on line, we are DVC, and for some reason they wouldn`t allow me to move past the first ressie..ugh ! ....But...I am experiencing the same problem with not being able to make reservations...and Cape May Cafe` wasn`t the only restaurant I had this problem with...I tryed for Narcoossees, and Hollywood and Vine with the same results...I was told these restaurants weren`t loaded into the system yet...today I tryed again...Nada !! ...I asked for a supervisor and voiced my displeasure in the fact that most of us plan so far in advance to be able to get the times and dates we`d like to patronize these establishments, and, at our proper time to call, we are shut out, due to "some Disney restaurants" not being loaded into the system. She apologized, and assured me that since the restaurants aren`t in the system yet, No one could make a ressie, I told her that, honestly, that doesn`t cut it with me ,as I would have to call back daily to see if these dining venue dates are uploaded yet, and most of us have played by the rules, but Disney Dining certainly hasn`t........I am very displeased with the way Disney is handleing July ADR`s so far...sorry for the rant, but I do want you to know your not the only one who is upset about this. My DH is such a fan of Narcoossees, I have it down for 2 nights (as we will be on the DXDP), but so far, cannot even make one ressie !

I had to call each and every day to get anything and lots of things were not there as mentioned here. Hoope de doo, clam bake, T rex, fantasmic and and lots were not allowing me to book at all. WE went with the deluxe plan and I even called and threatened to cancel my vacation too bad its a matter of vacation points and using DVC

Its so frusturating! Especially since its one of the places DH was so excited about. We got everything else we wanted, the times were a little tricky somedays because we are a party of 6 wanted to be together (in reality 4 adults, 2 under 3). We did get The Garden Grill, Tusker House, O'Hana, Hollywood & Vine and the Crystal Palace. I guess I just have to stalk the website for Cape May!

Yes it's lunch, my DS2 loves the Disney JR characters so we are going for that! Thurs July 12 I think is our DHS day

Thank you so much...it is so strange that Evening Ressies are not available, even that night 7-12 !!
I was able to make Ohana, 1900 Park fare, and even the Princess Storybook Dinner in Norway moving forward....but...Cape May, Narcoossees, and H&V for Dinner was totally not uploaded for booking. This is what the cm made me understand (and I called 3 or 4 times) ...UGH !

Can you book 2 separate reservations by calling them and than ask to be seated together once you arrive? Just throwing an idea that may or may not work for you

Call MS at the DVC if you are a DVC member, they were able to help me make all my dining reservations in November and could make all 10 days. If you call back regular dining, too, they do have some CMs who understand the issue with DVC. It started happening right after the credit card requirement for some of the reservations kicked in. Somehow when they know what they are doing they can override the issue.

Thank you so much, yes we are DVC members, and I have called member services and was able to make most of my ADR`s for the 180 days +10. . However, it seems that even the MS cms cannot make ressies for some restaurant "times" that haven`t been loaded into the system yet though..I agree with the op...alot of the planning excitement was lost this week for me, and has become....just ...Frustrating !!

I too have been trying to get Cape May Cafe (breakfast not dinner) for the same period and have got the same response when calling Disney, for some reason they could not explain they are not loaded up. Does anyone know why this would be ? Could they potentially be scheduling some kind of refurb for that time ?

I have been checking daily for Cape May Cafe, Hollywood and vine and Narcoossees for Dinner for the same time frame. I was told from Disney Dining on numerous calls, that Narcoossees will be closed for refurb.,.. however... they have no idea why Cape May and H&V aren`t uploaded in the system as of yet....They just said to keep trying....It is very frustrating to say the least to have to call or check on line every day ! ...ugh !

Ditto to all of the issues listed above -- couldn't/still can't book Cape May for breakfast on DD's b-day - July 16th.

PS - the next time someone from tech support mentions the whole "glitch thing", please tell them - as I did, that it's not a glitch it's (as they say in IT speak) a 'production defect' brought in with their November release (I think it happened when they introduced the whole penalty/dining reservation thing).

I am having the same problem with the Cape May Cafe. Just checked this morning and it is still not loaded.

Thank you so much for the update ...I hope as soon as someone is able to make a ressie at Cape May or Hollywood and Vine for July, they will take a moment and post here !! I certainly will !

It's not a group I'm happy to be a part of.

Today was my 180th day. I called & booked my ADRs with MS, since the online reservations wasn't acknowledging my DVC resort reservation.

I tried any day/time for Cape May Cafe over a 10 day period...and was told nothing is available.

It's our favorite restaurant. We ate there THREE times during our last trip.

Yep me too. Could not link up online but could over the phone. Tech support told me you could never do 180+10 online even though I did it last 2 years.

Got all rest over phone but note Cape May. Lovely international phone bill coming!!!
