Anyone have any opinions on the Cape May Clam Bake? Is the food good and how is the atmosphere? Casual? Will be going at a supposedly slow time in November. Does it get very crowded? Most of all, is it worth the money? Thanks for any input!:)

This is one of my Favorites!!! I go there at least once a year. We will be back in Nov. and eating there again!!!!princess::tink:
The Oreo Bon Bons are the greatest.
I would recommend making Priority seating, and it is casual. To me it is well worth the money. I was just there in Feb, and will be back in Nov.

We have had great food and service at Cape May. You may want to check out the review in the September 1, 2010 The DIS Unplugged podcast.

In this week's show, Pete Werner and Walter Echols give their review of Disney's Beach Club. Kevin Klose gives his review of Cape May Cafe.

It's one of our favorites! The clams and mussels are done JUST RIGHT and although the sides differ each evening, they are always tasty. As far as value, that depends on your appetite. This is an all-you-can-eat buffet. If you only eat salad, then the value is not so good. But, if you try all the offerings, the value is great!

I am not a seafood eater, and I still love this buffet! I've done the breakfast also, and it is one of my favorite character meals (althought Mickey's not there).

It is just fantastic! We eat there on just about every single trip and have never had a bad meal there.

Click on my Feb thread for tons of pics of the buffet

My DW and I were there last November. It was not a favorite of mine. The seafood was okay, although I really didn't care for the New England Clam Chowder, and the waitress said that many people have the same complaint. She may have just been saying that to make me feel better, though. I had some of the ribs on the buffet, and thought they were tough and overly sweet. I had heard the positive review on the podcast, and I may have caught them on a bad night, but I definitely would not put it high on my list for a revisit.

LOVE IT!!

By far our favorite place to dine in WDW. We are staying at the BC in late August and we have ADR's for breakfast and dinner each day of our trip.

We just love the BC and the atmosphere there and Cape May is a big part of that. The location, just off of the lobby really makes for an airy, comfortable atmosphere and we never feel rushed, like you tend to feel at other WDW buffets. We have found the food to be great each and every time we have been there, which has been a lot.

You won't regret dining there and the odds are you will love it!

Love it,we eat there at least once a trip sometimes twice..but since they added crab legs to the menu reservations are kind of a neccessity

We have to go here each trip. It is really quite good for a buffet. The clams and mussels and crab legs are done just right. I don't like seafood at all if it's overcooked and dry, but this has always been fresh and cooked just right. We enjoy the buffet a lot.

this is one of my inlaws favorite places (i am not a huge buffet person). The value is great, the food is pretty good and it has never really been crazy crowded in our times there.

We love Cape May......we have always had a great experience there and it's a must do for us every trip :goodvibes. We were just there this past December and it was great :thumbsup2.

It was the only place in WDW were I saw some guy shove a woman out of his way so he could scoop up half ( not exaggerating ) of the clams that a server had just placed on the buffet.....

I just about went nuts when I saw him do it - just inexcusable...

I don't think the food is that great myself....

I have a Sept ADR and cant wait, my family loves crab legs and shrimp and my DH loves clams! Cant wait to try those oreo bon bons, Oreos are my fave cookies!

Also have never been to Beach Club so it will be fun to check it out!

This was my favorite restaurant last year. The lobster tortellini was to die for! My only complaint is that our server was not very good. But the food was excellent!
