Cape May Clam Bake?

I changed our Whispering Canyon ADR to Cape May for our arrival night. I did so based on rave reviews and crab legs being newly added to the Cape May menu. Now, I'm reading so so reviews and hearing no crab legs. I get that the menus are subject to change at any time but how common are the crab legs?

DH wants to change our ADR if crab legs are highly unlikely but he's not sure where he wants to change it to.

Any advice? Should we stick with Cape May and hope for legs? Go back to Whispering Canyon? Or pick a totally different place?

We are eating at Cape May too. DH will be so upset if their are not crab legs. I am allergic to shellfish so it doesn't matter to me either way. :) I would like to know the answer to this too.

Although I don't know the answer to your question, I just wanted to add that our family truly enjoys the Clam Bake Buffet. I loved the fresh salad bar, mussels, potatoes and carving station; my DS who only eats mac & cheese, pizza, chicken strips was happy; other DS who will try anything once was happy, and DH who is the pickiest of all of us, did manage to find a few things to satisfy him. I must say the warm dinner rolls were awesome too! :cheer2:

We are also trying Cape May for the first time in Dec. :)
Now I could be imagining things...but I thought I saw the crab legs added to the recently updated menu on Allearsnet.com. I am assuming that they are currently on the menu. Not sure when you are going, but I will be able to confirm one way or the other after Dec 14th.

Just checked.;)

SEAFOOD SIDE OF BUFFET
Farm Raised Clams with Garlic Butter
Snow Crab Legs
Prince Edward Island Sound Mussels with Roasted Tomato Butter

That is part of what I was going on but I was just reading trip reports and there were no legs. :confused3

Hi
We just ate there on Oct 24th and they did have the snow crab legs. I don't eat them, but my DD DGD loved them.

We were just there last week and they had the crab legs. Make the waitress happy...fill up your bucket and then dump it on the white paper tablecloth, or she'll do it for you. ha.

That is encouraging news! I guess we'll keep our ADR and hope for the best.

What are the non seafood options usually?

From Allears...

Smoked BBQ Pork Ribs
Mashed Red Skinned Potatoes
Chef's Vegetable Selection
Steamed Corn on the Cob
Pasta du Jour
Steamed Red Bliss Potatoes
Top Sirloin Steak or Carving Station - Hand-Carved Prime Rib of Beef with au jus and horseradish cream
Mixed Lettuce with Dressing and Condiments
Casear Salad
Broccoli Salad
Potato Salad
Ambrosia
Seafood Salad
Cole Slaw

I made our Beach Club resort reservation last night and the CM made a point of telling me Cape May recently added the crab legs to the nightly buffet menu. Keep your ADR. If for some reason they decide to remove them, you can always cancel.

Oh I hope they have crab legs 11/25! I will be trying CMC for the first time with my Mom. She loves clams and mussels, myself not so much though I do love seafood but we both love crab legs!

We ate there last Friday night and there were delicious crab legs.
