I've never done a character meal before, so since today (11/7) was our check-out day at Boardwalk, I thought it would be fun to have an ADR for Cape May at Beach Club as our last vacation meal.
It was rather busy when we checked in shortly after 9a, which surprised me, but I rolled with it. Lots of kids, lots of strollers. Wasn't even concerned.
We were seated immediately to the right in a side room which bugged me until I noticed we could see the characters working their way around and knew when they were coming this way, so that built excitement.
The character interactions we had were great! We also loved seeing them with the kids at tables in our side room, so that was fun. We met all 4 characters at least once. Daisy and Donald we met twice. I took a selfie with Goofy.
The buffet was never too crowded and it was really good! The scrambled eggs, for being a buffet, were amazing. Of course I had Mickey waffles. I also may have eaten too many Mickey waffles.
We never felt rushed, although once the characters started coming around again, that's when I felt we should start wrapping up and get going. It was the most expensive meal of our trip, even with the AP discount, but we enjoyed the food and the experience of it. Would definitely do it again.
