This is one of the few restaurants we have not been to yet. Any advice or reviews? My DS10 *loves* and I mean    's mussels and other types of seafood.

I believe I read it is a buffet or all-you-can-eat style restaurant. Does this apply for dinner and is it good?

Thanks!

Yes - all you can eat Clam Bake is for dinner. They also have a character breakfast. But the Clam Bake is a favorite of ours. Not as good as the one I'll be making Monday, but very good.

We were there in '04 for the character breakfast. Food was good and it seemed much fresher and cleaner than the breakfast we had a Chef Mickey's.

it's on of my dh's favorites and we go everytime! the mussels are excellent, but the last 2 times we went the clams were filled with sand :crazy2: the ribs are also very good. but my favorite part of the cape may cafe is the oreo bon-bons! :goodvibes

I recently went to Cape May for the first time. I really liked it. I thought the mussels were as good as I'd had anywhere else. The clams were good, but probably the smallest clams I'd ever seen. I'm not a clam expert, but they seemed small in comparison to the "steamers" that they have all over New England. Again, they tasted fine - they were just small.

I thought it had a nice selection of salads (pasta salads, potato salads cole slaws and greens) and I really like the mashed potatoes, though others I was with also liked them, but didn't put them in the same category of greatness that I did.

Your 10-year old will be in shell fish heaven.

I have eaten at Cape May several times and will go again! Yes, it is a buffet at dinner.

Have fun. :woohoo:

Never been for dinner before. We went for breakfast last year and loved it. The characters were great. The food was nothing exceptional just your basic breakfast food and a fruit bar, but the experience with Goofy was great. We had a lot of fun.

Our last time there was this past Jan ( 06' ) our family loves it ! And we come from a fishing family. ( the only thing I wish they had was crab legs within the buffet) but you can order them for more. Everything is fresh,
the "steamers" are wonderful. DD(9 ) ate 5 plate fulls !! :thumbsup2

The deserts are to die for there !! Hey your all on vacation " EAT UP " you deserve it !!!!!!!!!

Relax folks party: life is to short to sweat the small things !!!
