We are staying for one night in concierge at BC. We, party of 5 with teenagers, booked breakfast at Cape May. We've done Disney many times but never stayed at BC or concierge. Is breakfast in concierge substantial so I won't need breakfast reservation or would you recommend keeping breakfast reservation?

i loved staying concierge, breakfast is what you'd find at a cold continental. cereals, pastries, so on. no hot food. i would still go to cape may if you're looking for a traditional breakfast, but if you can deal with what i said it might be a good way to save some money.

Also remember the Cape May Breakfast is a character breakfast buffet (Goofy, Donald, and Minnie). Its a good buffet with many options. We love it.

CL breakfast is probably not going to satisfy hungry teenagers. It is juice, fruit, pastries, hard boiled cold eggs, some meats and cheeses.
I would probably keep Cape May with teens

i loved staying concierge,

1) Please.
2) There is NO SUCH THING as "staying concierge".
3) Disney no longer calls it Concierge .
4) They are called "Club Floors" not Concierge Floors or Service".
5) Too many people complained that the "Concierge Floor" was not true concierge service.
. . . and, IT IS NOT !
. . . the Concierge at Disney CANNOT, by policy, provide true concierge service - whether from Lobby Concierge or Concierge Floor.
6) They were FORCED to change the name to prevent lawsuits.

NOTE: I do apologize, but after 4½-million air miles prior to retirement, and working as a Concierge at Deluxe Disney Resorts, I resent calling Disney Concierge Service TRUE concierge service.

IMHO, if you are going to pay the significant cost of Club you should take advantage of everything it has to offer.

1) Sure, they OFFER advanced ADR's.
2) But, they CANNOT GUARANTEE a ressie at your preferred eatery-date-time-group.
3) In other words, Concierge Floor is a possible benefit, but other than the small buffet, no big deal. *

* NOTE: Since I have worked as a Concierge on the CLUB Floor, I know this from experience. We DO NOT have ADR powers beyond even the average on-site guest, although people are lead to believe we do.

We just returned from a week at the Yacht Club and went to breakfast at Cape May Cafe on our last day. It was excellent, much better than the average buffet. I would keep it. :thumbsup2

Ate at cape may for the first time on our last trip. It's one of my favorites now! I could have eated 50 bowls of cheese grits. Drool.....

The CL breakfast is not substantial. If you are looking for eggs, waffles, etc. you would need to go to a restaurant. If you don't care about characters, I would suggest going to Capt. Grille at YC instead of Cape May Cafe. The food is better IMHO and you won't be paying an up charge for the character meal. If you aren't going to take full advantage of the lounge offerings, I would also recommend staying in a non-CL room.

Agree, including enjoying all the frozen pastries, Gummy Bears and pretzels ones heart desires. :rotfl2: (No longer a big fan of Club Level... To many cutbacks)

To the OP. The options available are really not that big of a deal. As others have said, for the most part it is your typical continental breakfast with juices, frozen Entenmanns quality pastries and cold cereal offerings. If your teens will enjoy a character breakfast then I would go to Cape May. I myself have found it to be average in quality (actually a complement for a buffet), but really wish it had a fresh omelet station instead of the pre-made eggs that are served up there. If your wanting to do a buffet but characters are not important, I'd recommend Captains Grill at the YC, it not only offers a buffet, but has breakfast from a menu as well and is pretty decent and not as loud and hectic as Cape May.

Cape May is one of my fave breakfast buffets. Love the variety and quality of food. I'd keep the reservation. Esp with teens!

thanks for the "note" and the "apology". i have also worked at a disney resort, 5 of them to be exact, and all price levels, which has nothing to do with the price of eggs in china. when i stayed i got a very literal email from "concierge services" at the contemporary. and y'know, just a quick google search on the walt disney world website:

Club Level Concierge
Enjoy personalized service and an exclusive Club Level Lounge when you stay in a Club Level room at a Deluxe Resort.

so while i appreciate your personal experience, for people trying to avoid a law suit they still slinging that word around a bit...
