Q: coming from WL, would it be quicker to take the boat to MK, then the bus to the BC?
If you take the bus to Epcot or DHS and don't have a park hopper (and are not going to either of those parks that day, how do you get to the boat?
To get to the BC via Epcot you have to walk through all the way to England. So you would need a ticket, plus depending on how early you might not get through. The boat for BC at DHS is in front of the park so no ticket would be needed. I think the walk through Epcot is shorter then the walk from DHS. But it would be a nice walk by the water and Boardwalk. I read somewhere that it was a 20 minute walk. Personally I would give myself at least 30 minutes, especially with kids.
I agree the character interactions are so much nicer at Cape May. The whole feel is more relaxed. Less people are there. The characters came back 3 times and played with the kids more. Our best photos from our last trip were at Cape May.
The food was decent, unlike our breakfast at Ohanas which was very poor. Expensive of course
My husband still complains about the cost. Though to be honest that was the only meal we did not have a friend with us with her tables in wonderland card. We do plan on going back when we are at the BC again.

I have had ongoing issues with planning this year. Upgraded DD to adult due to allergies (easier than waiting at CS) then after months of querying conflicting info on my online booking it turns out they could not do it on flight inclusive due to date of birth etc. So it got reversed and I had to re-plan my dining and park itinerary to accommodate appropriate child options/ones I could eat and trade with her. Then her father (my ex DH) announced he would meet us there for " a little bit" so I tweaked plans to accommodate him being there. After pressurizing him for 2 months about the importance of ADRs he sent an sms on Saturday saying to go ahead without him as he is still not sure. That could mean anything coming from his mouth
. That is what enabled her to go and REALLY enjoy herself.
I think what her getting sick taught me is not to let a day go by that you do not tell your family
how much they mean to you. Do not put off those vacations, we do not know what tomorrow brings. Do not take tomorrow for granted.
