We are already going to Tusker house for breakfast, but need another meal. Should we do Cape May breakfast or CM breakfast or dinner?

Other ADRs include:
LC lunch
HDDR
Sci Fi lunch
1900 PF dinner

We will be doing Epcot that day. Thanks

I would do Cape May since you are going to Epcot and the BC is so close. Plus you are doing Tusker House so you will see Mickey there. However, I have never done Cape May (doing it in May). We did CM for both breakfast & dinner and I liked it, however, we stayed at BLT and it was close. I don't think I would travel to CM from Epcot for it.

IMHO Cape May is much better than CM. I just think CM is so over-rated (and over-priced!). Cape May breakfast is good and the characters are fun. It's also a little more relaxing than CM. OK so Mickey isn't there but you'll see Minnie, Goofy and Donald.

I'd go with Cape May breakfast. We did it (twice) and CM's on our recent trip and Cape May was hands down superior. The food was fresh, hot and fabulous. The restaurant was nicer, cleaner, quieter and far more relaxing. The character interaction was much better as well. We saw each character twice and they took their time with our kids. It truly was the best breakfast we had that entire week and I think it gets overlooked alot.

We go to Chef Mickey's every trip and I dislike it greatly. We go because it is a tradition and the characters are good. My kids insist on going. I do enjoy seeing the kids with the characters but that's about it.

Cape May

Cape May

Oh, I completely agree!! Same reason why we go, it's just become tradition now for us. Although I do enjoy breakfast more than dinner.

I do enjoy Cape May Cafe for both breakfast and dinner, I just find it such a PITA to get to. It's the transportation, not the food that keeps me away.

I would go on your Epcot day and schedule a late (10am) breakfast so you can walk thru Epcot or take the boat from the International Gateway to the BC. Otherwise, for an early breakfast, you'd have to take a bus from your resort to DHS, then take the boat (or walk 20 mins) to the BC.

THis is what I did, but I made a 10:45 reservation. Do you think this is too late--will they be cleaning up? We prefer late breakfast because then it is lunch too.

No, they do not serve lunch so there's no rush to leave. I think that's the BEST time to go. Many years ago when my DS#1 was a baby we had a late breakfast ADR there and we had the best character interactions ever. The place was practically empty! Goofy sat down at our table, picked up some crayons and drew with my son. He must of sat there for 20 mins!! We were so surprised but he honestly had nothing else to! :rotfl:

The waitress was also fabulous! She insisted my son take a banana and a cup of cereal to go. She went out of her way to get him a "to go" cup and filled it with cereal for him.

I really like the service and food there, it's just not overall convenient. Unfortunately, Epcot has so many wonderful restaurants that my DH is not willing to do a brunch at Cape May.

Enjoy it. You made a great choice. You will have a wonderful time!

Cape May for the Breakfast. We did both on our trip last Oct. and we will be going back to Cape May. Chef Mickey's was O.K. but the food at Cape May was Great. We also love Donald's at Tusker House.

will say for Disney is that they never give up the show. We often watch Spectro at the very end of the parade route at the crossing. You can see the performers finish the parade route but you never see them stop performing.

Last trip we had one of the latest ADRs for the aforementioned Chef Mickey's - 11:25. I think the last ADR time is 11:30. The food was constantly being replenished and the character interaction was the best we have had.

I Love CM atmosphere, but Cape May's food is superior. We did a late breakfast in Dec and then rode the boat to Epcot. Great experience!

:love:LOVE LOVE LOVE Chef Mickey's anytime bk or din.:thumbsup2 But if I had to pick one Dinner :worship:

wow I was planning on going to CM's next time and we tried Cape May for breakfast this time and didn't like it. the characters and server were okay but the food wasn't very good. If this is better than CMs, then I can't imagine how bad CMs is!
