Cape May Breakfast buffet - opinions please ?

We are looking for a character breakfast at the EPCOT resort hotels.
We have never been to breakfast at Cape May, Beach Club.
Hours: 7:30 am - 11:00 am

How is the character breakfast ?
Are Minnie, Goofy, Chip and Dale always the characters ?

How is the food ? Fresh ?
Better at the 8 am hour ?
What if we did a late breakfast at 10 am - is the food stale and not replenished ?


At $18.99 an adult, the price seems good to us. We have the DDE card (20% discount)

Love this breakfast! I have done it several times and last year when we stayed off site this was the one the kids wanted to go back to - the only one. They have a huge selection and the characters spend plenty of time with the kids. They must have come around about 5 times each last time. They are dressed in their (what else) beach wear. I would compare the quality of the food with 1900 Park Fare - Great!!

This is one of our fav breakfasts to go to. the characters are great and the food is exellent. we usually go around 8 but what ever time you go they always are putting out new food so no worry about stale food. enjoy!

We've done it 3 times and find the food excellent. The chacaters have more time to spend because it is much less crowded. We would highly recommed it.

We did this breakfast this past May and had a great experience. We did have to wait quite awhile to be seated, which was a bummer with a 5 y.o. and almost 2 y.o. In my previous character meals (lots of Chef Mickey's and one Akershus princess) we never had to wait that long.
We also must have been seated just as the characters left our section b/c it was a long time before they came around again. But they did and my kids loved them! It was Chip & Dale, Minnie, and Goofy in their beach attire.
The food was good - to me the exact same as Chef Mickey's.
One interesting thing did happed. Goofy bumped into a server (in true Goofy fasion but it was an honest accident). It caused her to spill a drink on a guest as well as dishes (or glass, can't remember) on the floor. She was NOT happy with Goofy at all and SHOWED it. I was surprised.

I did this breakfast, and I loved it. I ate at 10:00, and food was plentiful and fresh.

glad this is getting such good reviews! I just got off the phone after making an adr there for the day we leave (in october). we're staying at the yacht club and won't have park tix for that morning, so plan to have a nice breakfast and play in the pool for a bit (knock wood no rain) before we have to leave for the airport. I had thought about chef mickey's, but it seemed like such a pain to get to that I figured sticking closer to our resort made more sense.
