Cape Cod Air Show - more pics added

Everyone,

Although not at all Disney related, I had to at least share some of the photos that I got today at a VIP showing of the Cape Cod Air Show on Otis Air Force Base, Cape Cod. This show was AWESOME! I didn't think I would like it too much, but these guys are CRAZY and make it fun to watch. Here are a few of the photos:

Thanks! It's nice that you can name them! I don't know one from the next, but I thought someone said that the plane with (what you call) the Corsair was an F-18? I don't know. Doesn't really matter. I thought the F-18 was the one that was in the tree. A complete accidental shot that looks cool. I know that there are F-15's on the base all the time, the others are just a mystery to me.

not meaning to get picky but the one with the corsair is actually an f-18 you can tell because it has two engines(required by the navy if not mistaken) the one in the tree is an F-16 and the plane in the first pic is an A-10 warthog

Shows how much I know about those planes! I thought someone had said that the one was an F-18. And my boss actually mentioned the warthog. I was hoping to see a hlimpse of the Stealth Bomber, but they hadn't shown up yet. They are supposed to be there for the show today. Now those ones I would know if I saw one!

Excellent shots Andy. Another buddy of mine is there today as is one of DW's cousins and his kids. Would have loved to have gone this weekend to see the show. I haven't been to an air show since the early 90's down in Miami. That was very cool.

I went yesterday as well but it was so hazy, I just managed a few decent shots. I was able to get MUCH closer to the runway and I remembered to bring my teleconverter so the pics would have been awesome if it had just cleared up. The thunderbirds didn't do much as I think it was just too hazy for them to do that many of their crazy tricks. We got there real late in the day so we only saw a couple acts. Here are a few shots from yesterday's show.

I am listening to today's show from my living room. We are so used to the planes flying that we are rarely even aware. But, it's going to be strange not having them here.

I hope the thunderbirds are able to perform their complete show today.

Great pictures, thanks for sharing them....I considered going since I enjoyed the shows they used to have years ago.

Get your sister on here again. It has been awhile since I've seen her here. I've seen her at Gatemen games and at the store many times though!

Hey, alright! You made it on here tonight!

I did get a monopod, but didn't bring it to the airshow. I am not so good using it just yet. I'm too used to holding the camera. I will need it for next years baseball season though. I'll have to practice.

The turnout was HUGE! I went on Friday to the VIP (which I am not) show. That was nice because it was Base employees and their families. When I went Saturday, it took about 1 and a half hours to get home from there.

It was fun to see but VERY VERY hot there. No shade unless you wanted to pay for a seat. Even at that, I think it was only for the $95 per person seats. I chose the free standing room only area. It was still fun! I only brought my nephew Saturday as Elizabeth does not like loud noises ever since her ear problems a s a baby.

Anyways, it's great to see you on here tonight! And it is great to see your sister here too!
