We also loved Cap'n Jacks! My husband had the crab cake appetizer and the twin lobster tail last year on the
DDP, and he couldn't say enough good things about it. I didn't try it, as I don't like seafood, but I can say the pot roast I ate was very good too. My daughter has some food allergies/intolerances so she can't have artificial colors, flavors, and a few preservatives. Chef Helene called us prior to our arrival (without me having to call them first), and laid out a specific menu of grilled chicken in olive oil, roasted potatoes, and green beans for her. I asked if they possibly had broccoli, as that is my daughter's favorite veggie, and she said that they only had green beans on the menu. (Which was also fine with us) That was wonderful, but then she went wayyyyy above and beyond. The chicken they normally get there is marinated, so she went to the store on the day of our dinner and bought a fresh chicken breast. Then when my DD's plate came out, there was a heaping helping of broccoli in place of the green beans

. Chef Helene came to our table to see that everything was satisfactory, and I said "I thought you didn't have broccoli", and she said "Well, I was at the store anyways, so I picked some up!" I was absolutely blown away!
I was almost swayed away by the bad reviews too, but I am so glad we dined there!
