Cap-N-Jacks no more lobter

In case it has not been posted my friends and I ate there last Saturday night and we were told by our server that after October 1st there will be no more lobster.

Well thats off our list then. Only reason my DH and DD and DSIL wanted to go there is for that. i was going to eat roast but not worth going now for them. Thanks for the heads up.

if they're not going to be on the menu, we won't be keeping that ADR.

True--we did use the dining plan last week and she just told us there will be no more lobster after October 1st so I don't know if that meant they were taking it off the menu or taking it off for the DD. I just assumed she meant off the menu.

1) They are off the menu.
2) They are too expensive for DDP reimbursement to the restaurant.
3) Like the removal of crab legs at Coral Reef.
4) And, they don't want to make a separate menu item not covered by DDP.
5) It would make too many DDP people upset.
6) So, bye-bye lobster tails.

How sad, we have an ADR there as well in Dec, specifically for their lobster. We'll have to find another place as well for dinner now. Oh well, I guess that will give us a chance to try something new.

We were just there 9/24 and had the twin lobster tails. They were divine (far better than the rubbery lobster tails that we had on 9/21 at Narcoossee's). Nobody told us that they were not going to be available for the DP after 10/1. I wonder if that will apply for the DxDP as well? Regardless that's a shame because that was one of our best dining experiences at WDW.

Ok since I started this I felt it was my obligation to make sure it was true so I just called Capn jacks directly and the manager told me that Sunday was there last day that they served lobster. They are now serving crab cakes to take its place.

I find it interesting that lobster is disappering from menus now. The wholesale and retail prices for lobster are cheaper than they have been in many years. (At least they were all summer.) However catches are down so that may finally be affecting the price.

We were there last week and had the lobster tails two different nights. I am very sad that they are also gone from the menu. I am anxious to find out how the crab cakes were.
