Okay so today I am trying hard to win this auction on sky auction, the bid is 121 with 15 minutes to go down to 8 minutes still 121, so then it goes up 123, I then bid 130 got right yea til about 5 minutes to go someone bids 132, so I go on and bid 140 got it again so with 2 minutes to go I go ahead and bid 155 it then pops up and says I must bid 150 or higher in red print hello, I bid 155, so then I try 160 it spits out the same thing so I go ahead and bid 200, and then the auction ended at this point at 178 now how did that happen. Is there some kind of trick about this or what

you need to start using autobid.

you place the miniumum amount you will bid in "bid amount" field - then further down is an "set max bid with autobid" - put the highest you will go in this field - if $100 put a $100 if $250 put $250.

don't go beyond your maxium when you add in the $195 + $15.

Okay let me see, if the bid is at say 100 and I bid the 100 then go down to autobid and put 200 will it show everyone 200 or will it only say you have been outbidded and not show the 200 until someone bids up that high?

It will not show your high bid unless you are outbid completely. If you are the high bidder it will just show the bid for what it is now, not how high you are willing to go. It is just like ebay if you are familiar with that.

You still might get outbid in the last few minutes, but if you decide how high you are willing to go at least it will be because someone else was willing to pay more than you were.
