Can't use all park hopper days because of injury

So my husband and I are on vacation down at Disneyland and have a 5 day park hopper. Unfortunately yesterday (day 4 of 5) he broke a rib when we went back to the hotel and we can't complete our week. Does anyone know if Disney will refund the last day if we bring a doctors note or a use later ticket? If not its alright but I figured I would see if anyone has experienced something before.

I'm sorry I don't know, but I'm so sorry he hurt himself. I hope he heals quickly and that you can get this resolved with Disney.

My mom got hurt on a ride, and the only thing they would do for us is recommend we rent a wheelchair for $12 outside the gates. Nothing else.

Did he get hurt at a Disney park or hotel? If so, they might be willing to work something out with you. If he got hurt off of Disney property, then I doubt they would be able to refund the unused day on the ticket. The good news is that the difference between a 4-day park hopper and a 5-day park hopper is only $15 ($300 vs. $315). I hope your husband feels better soon!

Good luck on that. While we were at DLR last summer, my husband had an accident that put him in ICU for two days. Disney would not refund us anything on his park hopper. All they did was say Sorry.

when we went to DL with my dad who got really sick a few years ago. They refunded the unused days on his ticket well they gave us a comp ticket. We went to city hall and talked to them about it. He wasn't even able to go to the parks at all he got sick on the way to DL.

They might help. The difference between a 4 vs 5 day ticket, though, is only $15 it seems.

And I'm sorry he broke a bone! Not even a little bit fun.

I think I would get a wheel chair and enjoy the parks as much as possible.
Even when one doesn't partake in the rides DLR is a wonderful place just to observe - kind of a stop and smell the roses thing.
Good luck, I know how painful a broken rib can be.

Just my opinion:

I truly empathize over any injury/illness while on holidays ( I sincerely hope your husband has a speedy recovery OP, I have broken my ribs b4 and its not something I would wish on anyone) but I don't understand (again not pointing fingers at the OP, just in general) why people would think/expect Disney to refund money for unused time on a ticket. If it were a case of negligence on Disney's part that an injury occured then I can see that (but really wouldn't a refund be the least thing to think about) but if it is a random accident then I don't think Disney has any obligation to refund.

Again I hope your husband has a speedy recover.

I'm sorry about what happened to your husband but I agree and don't think Disney has any obligation to refund the lost day on your ticket, unless it was something Disney did that directly caused his injury. Otherwise, every person who got sick on vacation and had to miss a park day would be hitting them up for refunds. It quickly becomes a slippery slope...

I hope your husband has a fast and painless as possible recovery! Injuries are never fun, especially on vacation.

At least the injury occurred on day 4.

We had an injury happen (same person) on two different trips. Nothing as serious as a Fx rib though.
And it's been at the beginning of day two of 5 day trips.
The first time we rented a wheelchair for the rest of the trip.
The second time, expecting a repeat when she joined our trip I looked into Apple Scooter before hand.
Good thing! Morning of day two at breakfast I was calling Apple Scooter to have them deliver a scooter for her.
