Well at first I did not care much for going either...but then I read about it, saw pics, etc.. Now I am wanting to go really bad. ;) THANKS GUYS! :rotfl:

Anyways, dh is still saying he does not want to do it b/c he says the cost is not worth what you get. He said he does not want to spend another $100+ to get us in to that just so we can get some candy and watch some fireworks and a parade..lol

I do know that it is a lot to spend and we can put a little more with it and stay another night which is what we are planning to do. :goodvibes So I am happy about that for sure but man, I am getting bummed over missing the hallween party when we have never done it before.

Anyone else had trouble convincing others the cost is worth the party? :confused3

We watched Hallowishes online last night and I thought that would make him want to go. He liked it and said that would be really fun to see but still said he did not think the cost of what they are charging is worth it..lol

My hubby loves Disney as much if not more than me and I am suprised he does not want to do mnsshp. I think he is overall upset that he originally thought that we could just go to it as part of our trip if we were in MK that day so ever since he found out it is not included he can't bring himself to spend the money on it. :sad2:

Still being happy about the trip though. Even booked Hoop Dee Do today which should be so much fun! :teeth:

Tell him that it is amazing, and worth the money. Have you showed him the thread that has everyone's favorite part?

Just keep asking nicely, and give him the puppy dog face, and say "for your princess?" That is what I do with my DBF, and it normally works.

Good luck, I hope you can go!

If you go in after (I think 4:00 pm) the MNSSHP ticket is good for admisson. Sell him on saving a hopper pass or something along those lines.

Tell him that since you want to go and he doesn't, the only fair way to decide is to flip a coin. (Then use a two headed quarter and call heads :teeth: )

Having been ourselves, I'd agree it's not worth the admission ticket =) It's fun and all but not THAT fun.

Once was enough for us - I'd much rather spend the cash on a spa treatment at the GF, dinner at Flying Fish, or tacking on another night of vacation.

(not the answer you wanted, I know! You'll have a blast with or without it, I promise!!)

Oh we have already been and are going again this year. You have plenty of time to persuade him to see it your way and still go. My husband loves to go because the lines are so quick.

This might seem underhanded to you, but my DH did not want to spend that much money extra either. I mentioned it once and he thought it sounded like lots of fun, but too $$$. Now to the underhanded part- . I bought tickets yesterday using a credit card that we hardly ever use and are having them sent to me in my name. I also got on the Disney shopping website and ordered Halloween t-shirts with our names on them to wear that night  (the kids will be in costume). I am going to try to wait until we are there to spring everything on him. We were already planning on taking a day off from the parks and I'm trying to reschedule everything so it can be that day. Is he going to be :furious: ? I'm hoping his usual happy-go-lucky attitude will prevail.

This worked on my non-Disney loving DH! I presented him with a plan for the day which included lots of laying around the pool time followed by a trip to 'Ohana (I don't usually care for AYCE places) and MNSSHP. No day used up on his hopper.

We are also planning to save a day on our park hopper by spending the MNNSHP day relaxing at the resort. I think it helps to justify the cost of the party tickets.

PPerfectmom - Where did you find the Halloween t-shirt with your names? That would be perfect for the adults in our group!
