My DH and I have a family trip with our 2 DS's (11 & 13) planned for Oct to VWL. I think about it everyday. I can't wait to go. I'm constantly looking online for ideas and reading the Birnbaum book. I'm assuming I'm not the only one. Anyone else out there want to admit their addiction? Come join me, there's always room for more. :wave2:

You have it backwards. By being here, you have joined many other already admitted adicts. ;) Have fun. You're in the right place.

Your trip is in October--our next one isn't until March, but here I am!!

Look at the number of posts of some of the board members here and you'll see that you are most definitely not alone

I would call these boards my latest obsession, but heck, I've been here for about a year now, it's more of an avocation.

Hello. My name is Sammy and I'm a WDW addict. :teeth:

Seriously....I joined the DIS back in Jan. 2000 to help plan our first family vacation that September. Well, that trip came and went and now we've since had 3 more under our belt and one coming up this September. We just can't get enough! Even when I'm not planning a trip (gasp! :earseek: ) I hit these boards almost every day.

Love WDW as well. Might want to read the Unofficial Guide to get you in the mood even more!!

Considering remodeling our guest room to resemble a room at the the VWL and the bathroom to follow the scheme used on the DCL bathrooms. DW wouldn't approve...so might have to do it next time she goes to visit her mother. It'll be easier to ask for forgiveness rather permission for this project :earsboy:

Count me in too! We had four trips to the World last year all the way from Texas, yet I still think everyday about our December trip.:bounce:

My goal is to do the Keys to the Kingdom tour this time.

On our last cruise we took pictures of the bathroom. We were about to do a bathroom in our house when we got back from our cruise. We were ready to do the bathroom in the same color scheme as the bathroom in our cabin on the Magic. Well we decided that all our friends and family would have us committed and didn't go ahead with it. We did however use the same fixtures they have on the ship, LOL. Now, how can I redo my landscaping to look more like the WL? I think that qualifies us as obsessed. What do you think?

We really got hooked are going on our first Disney Cruise. From that we got hooked on WDW. Then we joined DVC. Now I am always thinking of our next trip.

I secretly play my WDW travel planning DVD over and over again while cleaning or working in the kitchen (just to listen to it)

The closer our September trip gets, the more obsessed we get too! We don't plan every minute of the day, but we do try to plan which park on what days, our big meals that require PS's, and such. BUT, we LOVE to talk about WDW! In the evening we sit out on the deck and talk about our trip, pore over the menus I print out, etc. So much fun, and it really gets us in the mood (for WDW, that is)! :teeth:

We need a support group... or maybe an intervention!!!

We can't get enough of the place. Everytime we get an incredible airfare offer we off. We have called in sick from work to go down.

We were there in January, crusied in February, back in May... going in September, October, December and February.

We don't live around the corner either... we're in Jersey!!!

Even stranger to our friends is the fact that it is just the 2 of Us... No kids!!!

As Alan Jackson sings; "To Much of a Good Thing is a Good Thing"

NewJerseyDVCMembers, you're my kind of people! Lucky you!

Since you mentioned Alan Jackson, his song "Remember When" has been adopted by us, and we've decided not to wait until 50 years, but at 40 we're going to renew our vows and Disney. 4 years to go.

Disney Dreaming is my hobby, too. It's free (except for the plans I make!) and isn't illegal. A lof of the obscene Email I get (unsolicited!) tells me there is a lot worse stuff on the internet than... The Disney Boards!

I am also in a dry spell... Planning to move to a new home so not returning to WDW til March. It is hard waiting so long, but I guess it will be all the better when I do get there. Meanwhile, Disney friends (at home and on the Boards) keep me going.

Hi,

Can't wait to go back in December!!! My timer is going so slow. My friends & this board help a lot.

Allison :cheer2:

We too are greatly anticipating our October trip. You are not alone; I think about it daily. I made a paper chain with disney themed paper for 100 days out. We start each day with my DS(4) tearing off a link, inching ever so closer to our trip!:hyper:

LOL! Just today my DD said, "Mom, isn't it dangerous talking to strangers on the internet?"

She became concerned when I told her we had a DIS Meet on our upcoming cruise. For her things are so black and white, and it was kind of hard to explain that it is OK for me to talk to and meet DIS Board people, but it is still dangerous for her.

It can be quite complicated being a parent sometime. I do love these boards and being able to talk about Disney. And you are right, there are MUCH worse things out here on the internet. I love our "G" rated boards.

Our next trip is not until Feb. yet here I am each night checking in on all things Disney!!! ::MinnieMo

Hello, my name is Debbie and I am a WDW addict.

We went to WDW for the third time this past spring. First time staying onsite. I had such a wonderful time I have had withdrawal ever since I came home! Every day I look on this site, check pictures, put them on my computer as my desktop, check the weather....well, I'm sure you get the picture! lol!

We have also bought into OKW-won't be going back until next year :( , but in the meantime I can plan, plan plan!:Pinkbounc

I confess.

I have a board at work where I post my meetings (that's what I do for work - I meet. I never actually do work, I just meet.)

I change it every Monday.

This week it said "19 weeks, 2 days to ::MickeyMo "

I couldn't bear to put the days on, so I'm using weeks. After we get to about 50 days, I'll do the day by day.

And almost everyday I ask my friend (who we are going with) "Is it time to leave for Disney yet?" Usually that is done with great fanfare, splayed across one of the chairs in front of her desk. With my head drooping and eyes rolling, like I just can't stand to be at work one more minute.

Today we talked about where we would go out to eat the first night (Dec 1st). About what time the plane would arrive, what time we would check in, would we grocery shop first, or after. Would we go to Illuminations after dinner. Etc. Etc. We talk like that all the time. Drives the DH's nuts. They say "how do I know where I want to eat on Dec 1st?"

We just like to talk about it.

Oh and I talk with DD about the March trip. And we are also talking about the August 2005 trip. Oh, and now I'm also planning the Dec 2005 trip.

<sigh>
