Can't stop changing my mind!!!!

I feel a little crazy. I called Disney again today and went ahead a switched from POFQ to AKL and now I'm second guessing this. The upgrade was less than $300 so it seems pretty good. Now my DH is complaining that the transportation won't be good. We got spoiled by the Poly last year. So, now he wants to switch to the Poly. But I can't justify spening another $500 on top of what we're spending. My DH loves the monorail(who doesn't) But that seems like a lot just for convenience. My #1 choice resort is WL but it's booked.
Just some info on us: We will be traveling with our 2 kids ages 5 and 2 and my Dad(age 55) who can be a little cranky in the heat!
I need some insight before I call and change my ressie AGAIN!!!

If you can swing it go with the Poly. With two small kids the convenience of the monorail resorts can't be beat.

We stayed at AKL with our 3 year old DS last December. The bus transportation was great. It doesn't share buses with another resort. My DS loved this place. He loved the pool/slide. I would definitely stay here over POFQ. JMO. Have a great time no matter where you stay!

I would stay with AKL. Transportation was great. Even though it seems like you are far from MK it took us less than 10 minutes on the bus. They share with no one. Your kids will love the hotel with the animals and lots of activities !!! It is a beautiful hotel ! All attached too, which in inclement weather is worth it to me. No running from building to building to get to the rooms, food, shops etc. Totally covered from buses as well. Dad doesn't have to go out in the heat, he can even see animals from within

I have to agree, if you can swing it, go with the poly.......... especially with 2 little one's........... AND, if dad get's grumpy......... it's just a short monorail ride back to the room to rest and cool off!!!!

I have mixed feelings. Yes, the monorail was great especially with little ones. But it's so expensive and we just stayed there last year. I kinda like the idea of trying a new resort. But again, it's far from Mk and this could be annoying with the kids. My dh days Poly. Ds says AKL. Dd is too young to know the difference and my dad says he'll stay where ever we want. Last time he was in Disney was 1987 and we stayed at the CR. I just can't decide if the monorail is worth that much $. If only the WL wasn't booked. Anyone planning on canceling their WL ressie for Sept22-26?

I think AKL sounds good Something else to look at - depending on the rates you have at AKL is the Swan/Dolphin. They have rooms available at great rates using the entertainment or AAA discount. You would still have to bus to the MK - but Dad would love the boat ride or walk home from Epcot & MGM.
