Carmel, you have put it so well and I really feel for you and your family because that is such a hard thing to go through!
You just never know what is going to happen in your life so you have to listen to your heart!
My mother in law was going to go with us to
Disneyland last October and it was to be her first trip ever!
Unfortunately, she passed away unexpectantly and never did make it!
Disneyland is about making memories with the people you love and isn't that what life is all about!
Who thinks about what there kitchen looked like when they are little? Almost of all of us, though, remember the times we spent together as a family having fun!
We took both of our children before they were three and so many people said the same thing, "But they won't remember it!"
My reply was that it doesn't matter if they remember it, just that they enjoy themselves!
Not to mention, that I will remember it!
My in-laws don't understand why we spend money on vacations when we could have something that we could keep!
Don't they realize that it is not what you received for your birthday/Christmas when you were 7 or 8 that you remember, it is how you celebrated!
When we are remembering all the good times we had in Disneyland with our loved ones, the critics can remember how great their new "whatevers" looked!
