Can't retrieve my ressies online

Hi all,
sorry if it looks like a double post, but I posted this on the dvc discussion thread by accident :rolleyes1

Anyhooo, I was wondering if anyone had any trouble with retrieving their reservations online?

I have made most of them online, which are showing up fine, but I had to make a couple of ressies today over the phone (fantasmic dinner pk and CRT)
I've been online to check on them, but can't retrieve them. I have entered my phone number and adr number but get a red message saying that they are unable to retrieve my reservation.

Its very frustrating! I remember last year that there seemed to be a problem with UK phone numbers and wondered if this was the case now. Does anyone have any info?

Has anyone booked on the phone and been able to/unable to retrieve their ressies online?

Not sure about over the phone bookings but if you gave a UK no over the phone when you made your booking it is likely to be the same story as the CM just enters it into the system as you would with an online booking.

I can only view 2 of my 7. The last 2 I got savvy and used the resort tel. no. I phoned and they called them all up. I know they are there. Nothing else i can do about it. :goodvibes
 
Ah right, perhaps it is a problem with the phone number then, I did just type in the number that I gave the CM, so I thought it would work.

Just getting a bit jittery especially as I paid $167 for one of the meals upfront :(
 
Phone and ask if they would please email your confirmation as you can't access it online. You may also want to ask, if you phone, exactly what format they have your number in. For example I know you have to enter it exactly in terms of how many digits before a space etc. Ask the CM to read it back to you as in:

123 space 4567 space ..... for example, if that makes sense. Yes if I paid upfront I would want some kind of confirmation in my hand. In other words, I couldn't agree with you more! :goodvibes
 

ARGHH just called disney dining to ask about the ressie, well the good news is that she was able to confirm that the ressie was made, but I asked here about the phone number and she said oh the phone number is unknown....

she said it might be because my travel agent booked it for me lol, I explained that I had called this morning and made the ressie and that I definitely gave a phone number, I asked her if she could add the phone number onto my booking and she said no she couldn't and there was nothing she could do :confused:

She also said that I didn't need to enter a phone number (which you obviously do) so I guess I won't be able to pull the ressies online at all now.

Not a good day really, first I have to pay upfront for CRT even though I've paid for the dining plan (said this morning that it wasn't registered with my booking) I offered to email a screen shot of my booking to prove it, but she wasn't having any of it, maybe its *** I booked with Virgin? Anyhow, she says the best I can do is ask for it to be refunded on the day by the restaurant, but that still leaves me $167 short for the next 6 months :sad1:

Well I don't like to be the bearer of bad news, but if you are expecting the refund to be processed immediately, Disney advises that it can take up to three months for this to happen. :scared1: I have not experience this first hand, but reports are that it can take as long as this. Hmmm, can you try and book it again WITH the DDP registered and cancel the other one now? Then worst case scenario would be that you wait up to three months now for your refund (I suspect it won't take that long) instead of the 6 you thought you need to wait.

My phone number is also unknown. Funny thing is that I did it online and because I have it registerd on the Disney.com website, it automatically filled the field for me. Grrr!

Did the CM ask you for your booking reference when you made the reservation over the phone? It sounds like someone at Disney Dining slipped up because if they had entered this, it would automatically not have charged you for your ressie from what I understand.
 
Oh my gosh! three months to refund, that is a joke!

Yes the cm asked me for my booking ref, which I gave her, and asked me if I had the dining plan, which I confirmed, but when she went to put the reservation on the system, she said I had to pay in full because the dining plan wasn't showing up on my booking. I can't understand why, I offered to send a screen shot to prove it, but she said they couldn't accept that.

She also said that I could try and re-book in a few weeks, that maybe the dining plan would be showing then, but what's the chances of getting CRT on Christmas day at 7pm in a few weeks? Not much I would say :sad1:

So it probably looks like its gonna be more like 9 months before I see my money again :faint:
 
You're not the first to have had this problem. I know it doesn't help hearing that. :sad2: Have you posted on the Dining Board? YOu will get a much bigger resoponse due to the sheer numbers on there and the mods are used to dealing with specific dining issues so maybe someone on there can give you an option that looks a bit better.
