Can't get through to cancel our cruise. Tried emailing and got a copy/pasted reply saying they'd like me to consider other options other than cancelling and that they can no longer assist through email. Even though I've heard others say they were able to cancel through email right now. I don't know what else to do. So my question is, if we just don't pay off the cruise by our PIF date will they automatically cancel our cruise and refund our deposit, or will they keep our deposit as a cancellation fee? TIA.
 
If not paid at the PIF, I believe they keep the deposit and cancel the reservation. To get the deposit refunded you must contact prior to the PIF date. Sorry it's such a challenge to reach them. :(
 

When you call, choose option 3 (pricing and booking new cruises), they answered in 5 minutes.
When I tried calling and entering my reservation number, I got a wait time of 499 minutes.
Yes, this has worked for me twice.
 
I honestly don’t blame them for dedicating more agents to this, but not where the discrepancy is 400+ minutes on one side
I totally blame DCL for this as it's inexcusable. At the very least, offer a call-back option for these extreme wait times, which is what airlines do when they're swamped. Disney is cutting corners all over the place and it shows.

The phone survey needs to add a question about hold times.

I do agree with you. I can see why they would want new guests to have the best experience, but it makes no sense at all to frustrate guests just because they already have your money. Don’t they want repeats? Because this is the type of thing that makes me consider other companies. Disney is such a mess right now. It’s really sad. I’m thankful that my daughter is older and we’ll be looking at other types of vacations.
 
Others have posted to push the number for Spanish. The agents speak English and the wait is minuscule.
 
I just called the regular number for having a cruise booked and got through in about 6 minutes. So now seems like a good time to call.
