We are trying for ASMo or CSR the first week in June. Not available with new codes. Anyone have luck with AP rates at the same resort when there was no availability with codes? Thanks :)

I'll just tell you it's nearly impossible to get AP rate at Movies. I don't even think they offered the CZF rate. I called about 30 mins after in was on these boards with any luck.

Anyone get Movies with CZF?

Well, I have to tell you what a CM at CRO told me when I was trying to get my rooms.

I was having difficultly getting a standard room at the YC for 3 of the 8 nights I needed. Forget about getting a room with any discount, there weren't even any rooms left at rack rate.

She said that if a resort is sold out of a room type, even without a discount (rack rate), then the chance of getting any discount on that type of room was just about 0%. Obviously they don't have to offer a discount to try to sell them, they are already sold out.

So I guess you could call back the Movies and see if they have rack rate rooms available for your dates. If they do, then you may have a chance of getting the AP discount when/if they are released.:):):)

I read in another thread someone saying that Coronado Springs was booked solid for the first three weeks of June. The first week of June is generally when "gay days" occur so the resorts tend to be fuller than normal.

if occupany rates stay low and war concerns continue to keep travelers away, Disney may close certain areas of the resorts, such as as entire floor or building.

This would diminish the number of rooms available. So while a resort would be listed as sold out, it would not be a full capacity.

This would also reduce the number of rooms available to discount.

I actually heard that they are already closing some areas of resorts. AKL has closed off one wing, YC/BC have closed off a floor or two. There may be more of this going on that we aren't aware of. -HM

You happened to choose 2 resorts that are usually not included with the discounts.

Have you tried another All star and another moderate?

Thanks for all the replies :). I know we choose two resorts that are usually not included in discounts. We are also considering POR or All Star Sports. The last 6-8 days of the trip will be at AKL so I don't mind trying a value. Just worried about transportation time to the parks as we have 4 kids and will be coming back to the resort for afternoon breaks. POR will be $200 or so more than All Star Sports as it's 20/night/room more. We thought it would be worth it for All Star Movies but not sure about Sports?? Also not sure if the extra $200 is worth it for POR although we thought it may be for CSR. Anyway...let's hope for AP rates and thanks again for the help..looks like it's between POR and Sports!

I would try to book a room at CSR at rack and then wait for AP rates to come out. If they arent' available, you can always switch to another AS or mod (although we all know that CSR is my fav!!!:)
