Are we able to still go and walk in and hopefully not wait too long. Thinking about Be our Guest and Cinderella Royal Table.

No, you cannot walk up to either. CRT is pre-paid, so watch for cancels 48-72 hours in advance. BOG does not take walk-ups save in very rare cases. Tables aren't held for walk-ups. They book to capacity.

This is generally true of all Table Service restaurants. Quick/Counter Service can be walked up to, but will not have waiters. You'll order at the counter, then seat yourself.

I would look for cancelations and book them as you see them. With the exception of a few Epcot restaurants, you will have very little luck walking up to any table service restaurant that is in the parks. I do not see any circumstances that allow for you to walk up to BOG or CRT>

Is BOG not walk up at lunch? I know that it was last year.
I was there in May last year with an ADR for lunch. I know in early 2014, there were no ADR's - it was a giganto line that we elected not to wait in. In between those two trips, there was link you could use to request an reservation, that treated it sort of like a fastpass for lunch... but that disappeared when they converted to a regular ADR for lunch. I couldn't quite remember the timeline, so a quick googling got me to the old BOG lunch URL - which states that that went away in Feb '15, when the ADR option went live. Perhaps your trip was in January?

Any time I have ate at Be Our Guest I have heard people turned away who were trying to walk up. And more than one argument about it after.....

Keep checking for ADRs. They open up all the time. And if you are really determined go over to Touring Plans . com and sign up for their ADR finder. I had great luck using it! Got both Akershus and the Garden Grill using it.

Ha! Yes it was! (What's ADR?) It was great and easy. The trick was to get in line at 10:45, then walk right in when they opened at 11. We did it 3-4 times since they opened. If that is no longer a possibility, then I'll just skip it altogether. In my opinion, the rooms are so big that it feels like a college cafeteria in there...

Do you truly not know what an ADR is, or were you making a joke? Just in case, Advance Dining Reservation. Be our Guest is no longer a walk in and be seated place, even for breakfast. You need an ADR in order to have a meal.

We weren't lucky enough on our 2014 trip to ever see a line short enough to stand in with the kids. Having an ADR for it now actually works in our favor, so I don't mind that part. It's still a quick service credit on the dining plan, and you can pre-order your food online. That probably seems really weird since you didn't know you could make reservations, but it is a huge time saver if you have someone in your family with a food allergy/intolerance (like we do). It is, ironically, the quickest quick service we've had b/c it didn't involve waiting to talk to a chef, discussing options with the chef, and then waiting for the food to be made!

I agree. We first had lunch at BOG after having breakfast at CRT, and DH was not happy with the size of the room, because it made the chaos even more chaotic. I've never had BOG dinner, but I hope it's more subdued than breakfast or lunch. I'd be very disappointed to have dinner there just to find it's as cold a room as lunch. We did like breakfast there, but we had an 8am ADR and we ate (and love love loved the food) and left.

BOG is much nicer at dinner time. The service is very good. The food is excellent. They have wine!! There are still a lot of people inside and it can get loud but there isn't all of the milling about like at breakfast and lunch from people trying to find a table or fill beverages.

Try the Touring Plans reservation finder. Don't try to walk-up to these. If you are still pretty far out, you have a good chance of getting the ADRs you want.

No
You will NOT be able to walk in at either of these restaurants.
Keep checking for cancellations

I had no clue what an "ADR" was, although I expected that the "R" had something to do with "reservation." I can't (and don't care to) follow most of the acronyms here. This site has it's own language. :duck: We've made plenty of dining reservations at WDW, and have a few at Disneyland next month...

It's a shame that you can't "walk in" to more restaurants in the Parks. I hate the fact that almost everywhere needs advance reservations now.

Like others have said, keep trying for those reservations. People book and drop a couple of days before the reservation. We managed to book Ohana last year the week before our trip, had been watching it for months (but never got our BOG).

I would also suggest booking some alternative reservations, in the event that you don't get one for CRT or BOG. There are lots of restaurants in the monorail and Epcot deluxe resorts that often times get overlooked. You can always cancel these runner-ups at the same time that you manage to snag the other reservations. I always like to have a backup plan. Ending up in a park with hungry kids and no reservation is no fun. If you end up with no reservations, plan to eat QS at odd times, not noon or 6pm, to avoid long lines and crowded seating areas.

So agree about the chaos in the main BOG dining room from the tables all being thisclose together. It really detracts.

It wasn't so much the spacing, but it's just such a big room, and the constant movement of breakfast and lunch service with people walking around brings the noise level way up.

Probably is that for me too. I'm noise hypersensitive and if I'm overwhelmed with noise, I interpret my physical environment negatively too sometimes.
