Can't get priority seating at Planet Hollywood - any ideas for DD?

We are staying only two nights at OKW and wanted to eat at Planet Hollywood. We have 3 teens and a 9-year old. Couldn't get priority seating for anytime that evening!! Has anyone waited and got in within a reasonable time? Any other suggestions for DD or anywhere else??

Rainforest cafe is a good option. You can buy a club member card for (I think) ten dollars - that allows you to get the next available table.

When are you trying for? We tried at 7:30am exactly 90 days out and couldnt get anything later than 10:15 for the night we wanted. Others here have reported the same scenario. Im sort of hoping maybe better times will open up as it gets closer.
But, in case they dont, we are thinking about doing Wolfgang Pucks as our back up. Weve never eaten there so I cant tell you much about it, but the menu looks pretty good.

I found this coupon that someone had posted on an earlier thread. It is a coupon for VIP seating if that helps. I haven't used these before but I will try them on my next trip.

Another vote for House of Blues. . .cool place, good food--better than PH with better availability, too!

Our favorite DTD restaurant is Portobello Yacht Club - wonderful food and atmosphere.

We went to Planet Hollywood 12/27/03 before we saw Lord of the Rings Return of the King on our first night at Disney. At 6pm we waited about 20 minutes. Food was ok and atmosphere very loud and fun. When we left, there was a huge line..use the no wait coupon in the above post. It will be fun for teenagers, DS loved it (13).

Thanks for the great recommendations - I have considered House of Blues, or even Olivias because we will be at OKW. I called for a PS on June 23rd (Wed) and the told me the only available time was after 10:15pm too. I wonder whats going on? Maybe they don't allow for many PS, I know in the past you couldn't even get PS.

I would also suggest checking in with WDWDINE a week or so before you go. I leave in seven days and had no PS's reserved for the trip. I called today and got every single restaurant I wanted at the time I wanted it. Usually we wing it, but figured I would call on a whim and it worked out perfectly. I used to plan every detail in years past, but since I wound up changing things almost weekly I figured others did, too- and this would open up the ressies for me. What was a theory has turned out to be true

I thought that DVC members were automatically entitled to VIP seating at PH. We were the last time we went there which was a few years ago.

Go to the website previously posted by coolmom_1966. We just used this coupon last weekend. No problem walking past the huge line, and we were up to the front of the line for next available table. It was as if someone let us cut in front! It was great. We were seated within 5 minutes.
