Can't get on Dream September 4th

Since Disney Dream will now have additional time at sea, we have arranged a port call for tomorrow, Monday, September 2, in Grand Cayman.

As worrysome as it would be to be sailing with a Cat 5 hurricane nearby, I would also be excited to have an extra days.

Although, how would people with flights scheduled right after the end of their cruise notify the airlines to change their flights? Would DCL do it for them? Or allow them to use their resources to call out via cell phones? Or guests would have to just bite the bullet of international and at sea charges?

There are a lot of pieces to the puzzle to put together for people who are delayed by days, from parking, to flights, to hotels, or even stuff back home. Or what if you had planned on going to WDW afterward, and had park tickets? Maybe it's not so fun after all.

It probably has to do with immigration. I read they have to have all names of guests in so many days before so they can run you.

Nope. There have been reports of people being able to book the morning of a sailing, and certainly the day before. Also, the standard DCL website allows you to book as late as 3 days before departure, and the post from yesterday was 1 day further in advance than that of the (now-cancelled) Sept 4 sailing.

Yes, we would have never sailed so I guess Disney had it right.
By the way, I recently called about a cruise at the last minute and was told I could book up until midnight the night before sailing. But I don't know how you would do that since reservations would be closed and that cruise would no longer show up online. But certainly you can book the day before sailing by phone.

They asked people before boarding if they would hav issues if the cruises was extended another day.

You have to call to book that minute, you just can’t do it online.

Enjoy your cruise!

Is there any information out there about the prices when you call that last minute?

Not necessarily discounted. Most likely whatever fare was listed online before it came offline. Discounted upgrades may be available at the port on embarkation day, but one must have a reservation first to access the terminal.

Enjoy your cruise!

We are currently on this very extended cruise. We talked with another passenger yesterday that was able to via online the night before? She said she had called to book and Disney said no. But she did it online?

We had to rebook our flights yesterday and were able to use the concierge phone. I believe others were able to use phones at guest services.

When we originally checked in, we asked if there were any upgrades available and were told to check once on board. After many visits to guest services, we got a one bedroom. This was around 8pm.
