cant get membership number what do I do?

Please I need advice. We bought a resale and closed two weeks ago. Got a membership packet with No membership number. I called member services at DVC and they refuse to give my membership number as "it is there policy" not to give it out over the phone. They tell me to contact the broker, I call broker and broker says they are never issued membership number because of confidentiality. I call Disney back and they again will not issue it. I asked to speak to a supervisor who also stood firm on not giving me my number. I am so fustrated. They say i am in the system but there is not social security number listed for me. How do I get my member number? I got paperwork from them but no member number, and everyone I talk to refuses to help without a member number:confused3 I feel like I hit a wall. I have heard people on the boards talk about how they get it over the phone, How?
 
You need to speak with "Member Administration" and not "Member Services". Same phone number, but different option on the phone tree.

Wow! I'm surprised they didn't transfer you to member's Adminstration. I was told to call them, and they offered to transfer me over. They found my contract, and geve me my member #, and then transfered me back to Member Services to get my pin and info to register for the website. This was early last week. Call them back and select option 2 on the phone tree for MA, and then select the transfer of ownership option. They will probably ask for your closing date. They will also need the contract # or the last name on the seller. They were able to locate mine through the sellers names. They can probably do it without it, but it will make it faster for you. Good luck.

thanks will try this on monday as they say say they are only open mon-Friday. Whats fustrating is when I talked to member service I asked "who do i need to talk to, and even asked if I called the right dept." Oh well, I was so excited when I got packet in mail today only to find there was no number what a let down. Hope Monday I can get some help. thanks for the advice!

The are open today. I just got off the phone with them about 30 minutes ago. Call the 800-******** and I "think" option 7. I had no problem with them being willing to give me my account number, only I was not in the system quite yet. She even told me to call back next week and she would be happy to give me my info.

I thought Members Administration was only M-F. Members services is open on the weekends.
 
Could the number be somewhere in the paperwork you got either from the broker or from Disney? My paperwork had a contract number and a member number but then I bought a long time ago so it may be different now. Good luck.
