Can't get itunes applications to sync with my ipod touch

I finally took the time to look around and find some apps to use on my ipod touch. Now that I've downloaded them into my itunes, I can't get them to sync onto my touch.

I figure it's a setting that I don't have set right, but I've searched and searched and have come up with nothing!

I can sync all my songs, so it's not that the syncing isn't working at all. The one thing that seems strange (to me at least), is that is that on the left under Library it shows Music, Movies, TV shows, Podcasts, Applications, Radio. I can click on the applications and see what I've downloaded. Now, what seems weird is that when I click on My ipod device (middle left side), where I can then click on Sync - on the top tabs, there is one for every choice except Applications. It has Music, Movies, TV shows, Podcasts, Photos and Info.

Is that my problem and is there a way to fix it?

I'm so confused!

Are you sure that you have the most recent software update
on your iPod? I had that problem when I wasn't using the most recent software but once I updated to the newer version that fixed it.

Me, too! It was irritating, but worth it. Some of the apps are great.
