Hello everyone!

We are taking our first trip to disney world in Oct. It's going to be a tough week for me and dh as this week happens to be the week that our baby girl passed away almost 3 years ago. The next day also happens to be my b-day. I haven't 'celebrated' my bday since she passed away so we thought this might be a good way to celebrate our family and remember our little angel.

I have worked hard at planning special things for our other little girls - including matching outfits that they all love. One of the outfits we want is to have three little white shirts with minnie heads on them - someone from here was already gracious enough to design them for us (I will try to attach a pic) - I just have NO CLUE how to make them. I already picked up white shirts from the Children's Place - hopefully that will work!?! I just don't know what kind of iron on paper stuff to use? Do I just get it from walmart or something? Once I get the paper - how do I go about doing it?? Should I wash the shirts first or not? Also - will I get the dark paper or the white paper? I am sooo nervous about trying to do these shirts as I have NEVER done this before!:confused3

I could basically use 'kindergarten' type instructions here because this is my first time and I don't want to mess anything up!

thanks so much..hopefully I can get a pic on here to show you the design - i don't have ANY idea how to add a picture here, so chances are it will not work! lol. ((Just so you know - its a black minnie mouse head - with an orange bow and each of our daughters names written across the center of the head in orange writing))

Thanks in advance!

Hi!

If you've got white shirts, then I would recommend using the white shirt transfers. I've had good luck with the Avery brand of transfers - they're very easy to use.

I use PowerPoint. Open a new presentation and format the page for handouts and whichever direction your picture is designed for. Insert the image you have. Make it as big as you can. When you print, make sure you select Preferences, then Finishing and click the mirror image box (that's what makes the words print the right way).

Always, always print a sample page first on regular paper (you can print it in black and white only for your sample). If you are happy with how it looks, reprint in color onto your transfer paper.

to place the transfer - follow the instructions for the brand of transfer you end up purchasing. When ironing, keep the iron moving and press hard! I've found it usually takes 2-3 minutes more ironing than what the instructions recommend, but stop and try to take the transfer off when the instructions say to.

Good luck!!!
