Can't Figure Out How to Get Ticker to work....

I did it through the link at top of page. My first thought was to put it as the signature but that didn't show up. Then I tried pasting it into the post (which seemed to be what the instructions indicated via the link at top of page) but that just shows the URL.

I'm having a hard time believing that people are posting this within each thread (somehow) rather than doing something that automatically inserts it into each post made. Appreciate any help.
