Hello..i cant decide which week would be best to go to Disney World. These are my options:
Nov 11-21 or
Nov 14-25

im looking for light crowds or at least managable for my parents and my niece. Also im wanting to see thr gingerbread houses at the resorts, would they be up by that time? Thanks for any help!!

I would pick the week of the 11th. The crowds will build the closer you get to Thanksgiving. if you can add another option, the first week of December would be great. all the Thanksgiving crowds are gone and Christmas rush hasn't started yet.

I also don't believe the Gingerbread houses would be up either of those weeks, but others would definitely know better.

For November the 11th is the better week of the two. We were there around November 13 in 2012 and they were building the gingerbread houses. We stayed at Wilderness Lodge... our room overlooked the lobby a few floors up. No decorations when we went to our room that evening. We woke up the next morning and the whole resort was decorated for Christmas, including the huge lobby tree! However, my favorite time to go is the week after Thanksgiving- not the Friday, I wait til Sunday or Monday after...This year it would be Nov 30 week or December 7 week is good, too.

Thanksgiving is getting to be a mini Christmas. If you can see the decorations earlier, I would vote for earlier. The Christmas decorations are wonderful though.

We were just there November 9-17 2014. We went over to The Grand Floridian to see if the decorations were up on the 16th. The gingerbread house was set up but not opened yet. The Christmas tree and other decorations weren't up yet either.

How are the crowds the week after thanksgiving? I really want to see the christmas decorations.

I believe that historically the first week of December is one of the slowest of the year. Should be a great time to go.

One year I was there the first week of November and they put the tree up in WL! You never know :)
