Hi, my wife and I and our 11 year old son have one day only to visit one park, in either the Disney or Universal parks. Does anyone have a guess as to which one we should consider, re a blend of some rides and some interest? Much appreciate some help in deciding.

MK. No doubt. If not at least throw out Universal altogether and choose one of the other three Disney parks.

Wow, that's a tough one. How about a little more info, like when will they be visiting (what time of the year), does your son like thrill rides (rollercoasters), have they ever been to any of the parks, how late will they be able to stay at the park?

If your son likes thrill rides
Universal Island of Adventure or MGM

If he likes Movies
MGM or Universal Studioes

If he likes Learning
EPCOT

If he likes disney classics
Magic Kingdom

Thanks for the help, re info needed, we'll be at one of the parks all day March 15th, for the first time, my son likes rides but not the intense upside down ones, also some interesting/educational experience would be good.

For 1 day? Universal, particularly Islands of Adventure. Now, if you had a week, Disny would be your best bet.

Another vote for Magic Kingdom. That is THE park
Hey zippa this is a longshot I know but where at WDW last July- you guys look so familiar(of couse it could just be that I have seen you siggy here a few hundred times) But I really think we may have seen you on our way to AK?

Now back to the park ? I asked my 11 year old which he would pick(he is a rollercoaster guy) and he said Discovery Cove!!(the seaworld swim with dolphins place) we did it once and he loved it.(It is not cheap which is why we did it ONCE)
I say MK. The way to get a fun filled day no doubt!

If you are looking for learning and rides, I would go with EPCOT. They will teach you history, science, and marine biology. For rides, they have Test Track , Mission Space, Soarin (the best ride in Central Florida) and Journey Into Imagination. Plus, you can go into World Showcase and learn about the cultures of 11 different countries. What else could you ask for? :thumbsup2

since you are interested in non upside down roller coaster thrill rides, i would totally suggest epcot.

you can visit soaring, TT & MS for your thrill rides but at the same time view space ship earth and tour all the countries.
If your son prefers educational, there is nothing better than Epcot
