Can't....Breathe...No Planning?

You can have a great time even if you don't plan, but you can have a *better* time with just a little bit of planning. Unfortunately, the people who refuse to do the slightest bit of research are often the ones who come back and say "I can't believe you love that place! It's awful! The lines are horrible and there's nothing to do, and we never saw a single character!"

It is my favorite guidebook and the most honest IMHO. Definitely check it out!

The problem with non-planners is that they come back and bad mouth WDW. I have a neighbor who went last year at Christmas week and stayed off site. No PS's or anything. They complained that the crowds were unbelievable, so what do they do this year? They are going at Thanksgiving. Staying at the Contemporary at least. But no ADRs and only carry on luggage for 5 days. I attempted to give some advice but stopped and bit my tounge. The father gives the impression that he is above me so let him waste his money. I feel bad for the kids ages 8, 6 & 4, especially the 4 yr old girl who loves the princesses. Oh well atleast I will be leaving when he is arriving!

I live very close to Bucks and used to work in Richboro so I know exactly the type youre referring to. We live in Montgomery County Pa and toy with the idea of moving to Bucks (beautiful farm country) but there is a large population of snobs that live there (present company excluded).
I have a DSIS & DBIL who live there (snobs). I tried to help them last year when we all went over Jersey week (their idea NOT mine) but they wanted nothing to do with my advice. Needless to say we split up and had a MUCH better time without them. They went to the wrong parks on the wrong days and went COMPLETELY commando. You should have seen my DBIL feet by the end of the trip!! Bloody nubs!! Oh well c'est la vie.
