cant book for jan 2013

Hi! Does anyone know why I can't book a room only on the disney world site for January? I've tried a few times and the date keep going back to tomorrows date. TIA

Do you mean 2013? Early April Fool's joke? But honestly I don't think they've opened the rooms online yet. Someone correct me if I'm wrong please.

You can book but you will have to call to do it.

2013 rates have not been set yet. Last year they put up 2012 in mid June. You can call to book it, they will give you a tentative rate which is the highest 2012 rate. It will then be adjusted when the 2013 rates come out.

I've been trying too with no luck. I guess calling is the only way. I wonder if they will be offering free dining during that period. I'm going on Jan 20 to the 28th. I'll book room only and then if they offer I'll cancel and book a package.

As others have said, you can book now by calling and you will be quoted at the highest rate for 2012, with your ressie being adjusted once the 2013 rates are released (which should be sometime this summer). To book a package or book online, you have to wait until the new rates come out. Keep in mind that if you book room only now and want to change to a package later that the room only will have to be cancelled/refunded and a package booked, requiring a new $200 deposit as money paid toward one cannot be applied to the other.

I have booked a 2 bedroom villa at VWL at the end of Jan. 2013 for $741 per night. So maybe some rates are already set for that month.

pkg.(sounds like shes wanting dining and tix)...gotta wait till pkgs are released this summer.

if worried about location...you can book room now. change to pkg later but deposit will be credit back to credit card in say maybe a month. New deposit required. watch for full payment deadlines if you wait for discount pkgs.

Discounts are another story entirely....if rooms are available for your choice of view etc. then yes you can keep your romm only BUT if the limited amount of rooms is already sold. you are out of luck for that discount. resort change may be required to use discount. discounts and free dining usually only apply to certain times of the yr(slow times) and usually certain resorts for certain discounts. usually std view rooms as they are not as poplular and require some marketing ideas from disney to fill rooms at slow times. But not always limited to said rooms.
