Can't book a weekend?!?!?!

Hi...so can someone please explain to me why I cannot book the weekend of Feb. 1 for 2 nights at any hotel except for a 'suite' at the CSR or a pool view at the AKL, but I can book a standard room if I book for 3 nights (Jan. 30 - Feb. 2)? Why is Disney blocking off the rooms like thsi?

Keep trying-I could not book anything less that a moderate for 2/3-2/5 until today. All of a sudden rooms at POP showed up.

Are you trying on line or on the phone? Sometimes it seems like the online system doesn't know what it's doing, and if you call the answer is totally different.

Also, are you booking with a code? I've heard of this happening with codes sometimes. There have been a lot of threads of people booking all the nights, and then calling back a day or two later to cancel what they don't need. I haven't noticed any minimun stay requirements on any codes recently, but it could happen.

Yeah, it's frustrating. now i'm staying at POP for 3 nights and CSR for 1. I wanted 2 and 2 (well, actually, I wanted all 4 at the POLY, but I wouldn't be able to do anything else for a few months )

I often have no luck booking 2 nights (Fri and Sat), but when I ask for 3 nights (adding on either the leading Thurs or following Sun) rooms miraculously open up.

I think that as long as you cancel within so many days out, yes.

OP needs to call CRO. The online reservation system is inaccurate. Also, it has built-in minimum stays that you can't get around. But a CRO CM can navigate around these.

In most cases, if you book a 3-day special and try to cancel one day, you will lose your discount and revert to full rack rate.

There's a cheerleading/dance competition going on Feb 1 -3, at least that's what the CM told me when I talked to CRO on Monday.

Originally scheduled to go Jan 12-19, we have had to change our vaca to Jan 26-Feb 2 due to a family emergency. B/c of the cheerleading/dance/whatever we had to move from POP to ASMu.
