Can't believe we've gone and booked it! Disneyland California

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehhhh!!

Just had to come on here to share my excitement! Last night we booked our flights to go over to the West Coast USA in April 2013!!! I can't quite believe it's real as it all just sounds fab!

We're flying Aberdeen - Heathrow - Las Vegas with British Airways, then staying in Las Vegas for 4 nights. We then drive to Hollywood for 5 nights and then Anaheim for 5 nights - spending as much time as possible in Disneyland!

I'm so looking forward to it - and as much as WDW seems to be calling my name, I'm very excited to go to the West Coast and see some different rides - Cars Land / Matterhorn / California Screaming in particular!

Only 199 Sleepts to go!!

That's great! We're planning on going in April too.

Oooh awesome - April is clearly the best time to go!! We'll be in Disneyland a couple of weeks after Easter so hoping to miss the crowds as much as we can!

I think from booking it yesterday to the day we travel - xmas is an exact 'half way to go' point - and they've started selling the mince pies in Tesco's so it must be Christmas already!!

There really is so much to do and see over there it's crazy and a bit daunting to put it all together - exciting at the same time though! The map for Disney California Adventure looks crazy - it's so different to the other parks - it will be odd not knowing our way!

I sure that you'll love CA, it's my favourite place! We go pretty often to see my in-laws. The parks are usually pretty quite in April so I'm sure that you won't have any difficulty in finding your way around CA Adventure. If you get the opportunity try and see some of San Diego it's really beautiful and well worth seeing! I'm hoping that we'll be able have a family trip in 2014!

Thanks for your message. I'm not sure if we are going to do San Diego this trip - think we will be sticking to Vegas / Hollywood area / Disneyland, but I do fancy going there for a little visit to go to San Diego Zoo!!

We are also planning a DLR trip but it probably wont be until October 2014 at the earliest. Have fun planning!

We're going in February. Spending a week in VGC. Can't wait.

We went in July 2011 as part of west coast/Vegas trip.

Hadn't planned to go back for a few years but whilst in process of booking flights for WDW I thought I would check prices for LAX. Couldn't believe when they came up at around £380 each with BA

So looking forward to Carsland!

We went in 2011 - really exciting, and can't wait to do it again. We did 8 nights staying in Anaheim and 6 nights in Westwood. We did an awful lot of things - DLR (5 days in the 2 parks), Knotts Berry Farm, Whale Watching, Santa Monica, Hollywood (including a couple guided star homes tours), Mulholland Drive, Universal Studios, Warner Studios Tour, Paramount Studio Tours and Six Flags Magic Mountain.
We loved it and I'm very sure you will do too!

We're also visiting California next August - visiting NY first for 4 nights, then flying over to LA with around 12 days to do what we want!! Currently planning on splitting our time roughly 50:50 between a beach location near to San Diego, and Anaheim for visiting Disneyland. Will be waiting for any tips and advice you have when you get back!!!
