Can't believe it's been almost 3 yrs already!!

At times, it seems like Thumper has been in our lives forever....others, like it's only been maybe a year or so. It will be 3 yrs on the 14th that Thumper entered our family. I've included a link here, just in case you weren't around on the boards back then or maybe, you just want to take a hop down memory lane.

Thumper is so much a part of our lives and I really feel more like his "mom" than I do with any of our other pets. Heck, once you have gotten up every 4 hours to feed a baby, given him a bath when he was too teeny to do so himself, trimmed toenails, and checked teeth, your ARE Mom!! He has toured "the world" with us in fact!!

That is the sweetest story. So does Thumper live in the house is he domesticated? You did such a wonderful thing. Our pets are our children.

Yes, Thumper lives in the house. He has a pet carrier that is faithfully cleaned out every night. We have grates in the bottom of it so all the waste isn't 'in' the box with him. We still have snuggle time every night. He is held and spends a good hour getting hand fed cheerios, lettuce and carrots. He is still as sweet as he ever was. After his snack time, he will sit on my lap and give himself a bath. When he is finished with himself, he will then give ME a bath. There is nothing as sweet as that. He has never, in all three years, shown aggression towards us...even when I am trimming his toe nails. I just read through that whole thread...boy does it bring back memories!!

Here's an early shot of Thumper. He was in his "box" sitting on my bed. He is with his friend I talked about in my original post.

I'll find some other ones as well.

Here's one of him sitting on the floor...bath time!!

And one final one of him sitting in his 'bed' on the floor, eating his carrots (we actually bought this for the dog but he doesn't like it!)

Wow, cool story! I wondered if you could raise wild bunnies before. We had a mommy bunny get in our basement and have babies once (without our knowledge until they were born). We were tempted to keep at least one, but we didn't. We didn't think we could? Our house backed up to a wooded area and we just set them free. We didn't find them until they were hopping around our basement!
