Can't believe airline ticket prices!

I have been tracking for our may 2014 cruise but most of the airlines like Jet blue, and Southwest have not released flights past April yet. We plan on flying Delta since we have the points, but I am hoping once more airlines release flights, the price will start to drop. We still probably won't book until around January anyway.

We're in the same boat. We fly every year from Pittsburgh to Florida, typically the gulf coast but this year it's Orlando. In the past 2 years I'm finding that anything between $300 and $350 RT per person is a good deal. So $1,200-$1,500 for us total all said and done. It sucks but oh well, can't do anything about it.

I usually book about 3 months but I started keeping an eye on prices at about 5 months out.

I always book on a Tuesday or a Wednesday morning, very early. Because it is very well known that the airlines like to hike the prices during and before the upcoming weekend.

My friend and I each booked for 260 round trip from Buffalo to MCO for 02/28/2013-03/05/2013.

We just booked last minute 295 round trip from Buffalo to MCO 10/10/2013-10/21/2023.
