canon users a question

I was just curious what the impression is out there of th D20? have the chance to pick one up second hand and am possibly thinking of getting it and maybe seeing if it can be converted to IR. I am also wondering what lens you would recommend as a general walk around lens since this may just be a backup body ? Thanks for any opinions

I used a 20D for two years, it is a great camera. I think it would be amazing to have one converted for IR. If you are going to use this camera as a backup, I would definitely go with the 18-55 IS, this is a great little lens and seems to have gotten some favorable reviews.
