Canon Powershot SD630

I was looking for a nice little quick compact digital camera and I really like the Canon Powershot series. At first I wanted the Canon SD700, but I could never find a good deal. And then came the SD800 and SD900 and I'm like "Whoa! Now what?" I'm on a little budget and the 800 and 900 seem a little expensive for me and I found a place online that sells the SD700 for $240 (which I think is great) but after reading tons of awful reviews on this place, I decided against it.....

So I look for the the next best thing, the SD630....I see it at Best Buy for $349.99 and I'm not sure if I want to pay that much. All I know is that I want a Canon and I want a good one.......anyway, I see another SD630 on this website with free shipping and great reviews for $260. I say "Hey, not bad." Plus I like the 3" LCD screen. So, what do you think? I really like it. Sleek and compact, just what I want. I'm a digital camera newbie and this one looks pretty basic.....any opinions?

You can get a much better deal online than Best Buy's price. The best price, from a trustworthy dealer, I found for the SD630 is $253.99 at Buydig.com http://buydig.com/shop/product.aspx?sku=CNPSSD630 . They also have the SD700 IS for $294.99 http://buydig.com/shop/product.aspx?sku=CNPSSD700 . Anyone who beats Buydigs prices by more than a few dollars is probably running a scam. For myself I would spend the extra $40 for the image stabilzation of the SD700. Either way you will be getting an excellent camera. Good luck with your choice.
