Canon 17-55 2.8 at Disney

Anybody have any pics taken with this lens? I just rented it for a week hoping to get some great wide angle shots. Wondering how the 2.8 does with Spectro and Wishes as I usually use my 50 1.4 and/or 85.1.8 for those. Will the 2.8 be fast enought to get some good night shots?
 
I don't know much about the 17-55 2.8, but I know that people LOVE that lens. Let us know how it works out, as I'd be curious to know as well :)

what iso do you normally use for those, just bump it up

That's a great lens, but why would you want to shoot Wishes at f/2.8 or wider? The only reason to shoot that wide is for the shallow depth of field or because you need more light gathering ability. Fireworks photography doesn't fall into either of those categories.
