Canoe troubles.

I went on a field trip today, and it was soooooooooooo much fun! Except for the canoe part. That was scary.

Kelsey, Emilie, Miss Griffin (my Pre-Algebra teacher's sister), and I got in this canoe and were going down the river. There was a rope in the air and we weren't supposed to go past it. Well, we did. It was an accident. We went to turn around and we couldn't! We were floating down, WAY down, the river and couldn't get back! So this one lady was hollering trying to tell us how to get back and it didn't work. So we were all screaming because we were so scared. About that time, we looked down and there was a HUGE spider right underneath Kelsey. We screamed sooooooooooooo loud. Kelsey stood up and the boat almost flipped and then Emilie grabbed onto me and we were screaming like crazy. So then, we see this lady who works there in a kayak coming down the river. But then, she stopped and turned around. I said, "Do you think we should jump out and swim back to the dock?" And we were all like, "Um... I don't know..." And about that time, a BIG snake swam up right up beside the boat going towards the dock and OMG I HAVE NEVER SCREAMED SO LOUD IN MY LIFE. I was just about to jump out and here comes this big ol snake. So the lady came out to us and was telling us how to get back. We ran up on some rocks and this guy had to push us off them. We were out there for about 20 mintutes and OMG it was so scary. When we finally got back, we jumped out of that stupid boat and everybody was standing there watching. They said it was so funny watching us out there because we were all screaming and everything.

I was like then, but I can laugh about it now.

I've acutally had something like that happen to me too.
My friends are I were in a canoe and they were rowing the wrong way and they wouldn't stop when I told them how to do it. We couldn't get back to the dock either. So then my friend decides to jump out of the canoe and drag the boat back to the dock while I was having a panic attack.

I know I shouldn't laugh but the river, a spider, a snake, girls screaming.

aww i feel terrible about what happened to you and your friends. .canoing isnt always that bad i love going canoing im going this weekend with my church.

Yeah. It was pretty scary. We were just about to jump out and here comes the snake! Lol.

What kind of snake was it? Because most snakes aren't exactly fond of screaming girls and canoes... :rolleyes

^ Not sure. I was to busy screaming to examine it! Lol. My grandma said it could have been an eel. Even worse! I could have gotten electricuted.
